Well, I like the series, but I certainly haven't seen all of them - I'm not even sure which belong to which series, except for maybe the first (great) and the last two (terrible).

I love all of the first six series', I'm not sure if I'd say the first was the best, although I think it was probably the best written. The third and the sixth were probably the best.

it's unanimous(so far) series 1-6 are brilliant, after that they get steadily worse...and bringing back the crew, god how could you, that was the final nail in the coffin; It ruins the whole point of the show...

Apparently RD has a huge gay following in Spain, because the guy who voices Lister sounds really camp.

Yeah, right. :P We watched it all in one afternoon - three hours straight.

Now, for the rest of the mountain of DVDs YK's gotten home... :)

I shall bring them over next summer!

LOL! I loved that song too! "He's Arnold Arnold Rimmer, without him life would be much grimmer, and if you play your cards right, then he might just come round for dinner!" Love it!

Classic series, think i watched upto series 6 (is that when it end with the nanobots rebuilding a mini red dwarf or something). Think i got a glimpse of the last series and did not interest me.

I see they are still going on a about a film version, still unsure how that would work.

Best char was Rimmer, the series was not as good when he left part way through series 6??

Was that series 7, wow. But yeah, it was not the same when Rimmer left.

I also like the Rimmer song, that was very VERY funny.

MY best season was the first 2.

I am gonna catch yer little fishy - argh my tooth....

The full lyrics to the Rimmer Munchkin song (qouted from memory, I'm not 100% positive on all the words):

If you're in trouble, he'll save the day
He's brave and he's fearless, come what may
Without him, the mission would go astray

He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
Without him life would be much grimmer
He's handsome, trim, and no-one's slimmer
He will never need a zimmer

He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
More reliable than a garden streamer
He's never been mistaken for Yul Brunner
He's not bald, and his head doesn't glimmer

Master of the wit and the repartee
His command of space directives is uncanny
How come he's such a genius? Don't ask me,

Ask Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
He's also a fantastic swimmer
And if you play your cards right, then he
just might come round for dinner
