Sudoku

Post by alessandi »

I love Kevinswatch but I can't play any more sudoku as it seems I've come to the end of a run game pack8 number38 won't let me finish :!!!: Presumably because there are no others to do  . I love sudoku and would like to either carry on or go back to the start (to improve my score). What can I do :?:

Unfortunately that is all there is for now; no more games have been uploaded, and there isn't a reset option to send you back to the start (unless the admins can do that). Sorry, but there's nothing you can do.

lack of sudoku

Post by alessandi »

Thanks for the reply, I will continue to visit this site because I love the subject matter. Anywho, never mind I am sure there's ways and means round every problem. :). Either some more sudoku will be uploaded or you might add a reset option or...the list could be endless.

Thanks :) . But there is just one thing to bear in mind when up loading more sudoku-with sudoku you shouldn't have 2 guess, if you do they are not considered proper sudoku. I know this to be true as with a lot of the v.difficult sudoku I had to guess and invariably got them wrong hence my score not being so great. Having said all that I still would love more sudoku to do, not only am I a bit of an addict, I also like to look at some of the post whilst I'm at it. Killing 2 birds with one stone as it where. So thanks again if it can be arranged.

OK. I have revamped the entire sudoku thingy. Sorry if you guys lost your points etc but I couldn't get any more game packs for the version we were using.

The latest version has some really difficult looking games - and it seems to need WGD's (hopefully not)
have a play and let me know if there are any issues

Wow--the ninja sudoku looks like a bit of a challenge....

Edit: It's also a bit hard on the eyes...

Hmm. Grid 8 has two solutions. Had to buy a number or risk guessing.

What can I say, I think you've out done yourselves, fantastic. They are pretty challenging, in my eagerness I've rushed in foolishly, never mind. Hats off to you Murrin for even tackling either of the other two, I took one look and thought you have got to be joking forget it, so very impressive. You've made my day guys, cheers form all sudoku addicts on the site including yours truly.:D cheers Vain

Cool !! It works ! :) You can also change the mode to change from just numbers to colours and pictures and a bunch of stuff - that may make it a bit more challenging :)

What's cool is that there is an admin backend that allows me to upload / create games from scratch so that'll come in handy for when we run out

Just finished the Samurai, that was tough! I noticed the 2nd one is Easy, the first was Difficult - what's up w/that? I had to buy 2 numbers, even though it costs points, still felt a little like cheating.

The Samurai was giving me a headache last weekend. :)

One thing I've noticed about Suduku, is that there is an amount of practice required to keep up, at least for me. I hadn't played in a couple of months, and it was a real struggle.

I am really starting to get sick of this. Almost every game I play recently--even the "very easy" ones--ends with a bit where you have pairs (or triples) of empty squares with no further way to narrow down options; you have to guess or buy a number.

Edit: and on the latest one, it said buying a number would cost 30 points, but when I did so it subtracted 40 points instead.

When it comes to the pairs and triples at the end, I have found that, except for one puzzle, making an assumption and sticking with it solves the puzzle. I can only assume that one of the following is true.

1) I am a really good guesser, and I should play the lottery.

2) There are multiple "acceptable" solutions.
