Cool. Have you seen the doc Darkon, Lore? I recommend it. The rennie side of me is tempted to try my hand at LARPing.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Darkon? Very interesting. I think most Watchers would find the people pretty sympathetic. The only downside is that it does drag pretty hard in the middle and towards the end and has a very cold feel to it.
LARPing looks fun, like a very involved RPG. I'm just worried it's a bit more time and effort than my slacker self could put into it.

Oh, and one of the guys in it plays a character named Bannor.

LOL. I actually did one of those in Monterey a couple of times. The upside was a pretty hot goth girl hanging out with me, biting my neck, telling me to bite hers and that (even if she did steal my zippo). The bad side is that the players were a little too drama prone. Probably would've gone more if I hadn't got heavily into drinking on the weekends on Asilomar Beach.

That's sort of the feeling I got when I spoke to them.
