The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Terminator)

It was very good. Seems like they will have to introduce some other twist for the series, though. Can't be just all Run, Hide, Discovered, Run, Hide, Discovered, etc.
Cowboy: Why you doin' this, Doc?
Doc Holliday: Because Wyatt Earp is my friend.
Cowboy: Friend? Hell, I got lots of friends.
Doc Holliday: ... I don't.

Interesting opener. Hopefully they can keep it going.

i'm willing to give it more viewing..i mean, what the hell else is there to watch thanks to the writer's strike (nothing against the writers at all...just sad and frustrated over my favorite shows).
i thought the woman who played sarah didn't have linda hamilton's intensity, but maybe that will come as the actor really takes on the role.

I liked it okay but there wasn't anything new about it. I'll keep watching for a while to see if the plot hits me with something genuinely amazing. It certainly had better FX than the original Terminator.

I'll stick with it a bit longer, but not too sure it isn't going to get real old, real quick. A little less.....angst, might help.

Watched episode II. Liked it much more that the first. My only issue lies with Lena Headly's performances. She's no Linda Hamilton. I agree she needs to back it off a bit. I think she's trying to emulate Sarah from Terminator II but it comes off as forced. When she's not trying to be "intense" I like her much better. I'm guessing if the show survives she'll have a chance to adapt to the role. Otherwise things look to be moving along in a very interesting way. Here's hoping it works out. <crosses fingers and toes>

It would be a decent show if it wasn't for the title lead. Even with the writers' strike, I don't need another show, and this doesn't compel me to watch. Pass.

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Yeah, having that other terminator seemed stupid. He was shot by Sarah Connor as they were teleporting, sending his body away from the portal....it really would have been better for that particular terminator to have rebuilt himself over the eight years instead. Having that skull flying at me reminded me of Mystery Men.

Dag! I missed the second episode. Anybody know when there'll be re-runs?
As for the first episode: the action was pretty impressive, given it was a TV series. I have to agree that there's nothing new, though. Not sure if I'm convinced it's worthy of Terminator 1 & 2--or even T3.
