Gradual Interview Tips

Post by Zenlunatic »

Those of you who read the Gradual Interview know that it is one of the best things SRD has done on his website. I thought I'd pass on some tips that have helped me get some of my myriad questions answered:

#1) Pay Him - I won't discuss the financial arrangement we've made, but it is in the two figures.

#2) Pretend to be a relative (preferably one he's never met) - It's best to start these questions with "Dad! Do you remember me?"

#3) Play the discrimination card - start your question with: "Mr. Donaldson, I am a female Black, Hispanic, Native American in a wheel chair, please answer this question."

#4) Threaten Legal Action - End the question with "please answer this, I would hate to get my lawyer involved."

#5) Ask about the Creator - he loves those questions!

#6) Use the name "Michael from Santa Fe" - this works well for some reason.

#7) Put unwarranted and unwanted criticism of his work in the question - these almost always get a response!

And last but not least: Keep the question short and sweet!

Actually that last one is probably the best. ;)

Hmm... What do you think of my first draft?: "Why did you make the Creator the only good thing in your crappy books, you talentless hack?"

Signed,

Michael, your parapalegic 1/2 Native American bastard son in New Mexico who's holding a call to his lawyer on back child support pending response to this question.

Here's $10.

I find it odd that Jay has yet to send in a question.

What would he ask, other than "Why do you write such long books? It takes forever to read them."

 :P

Well, for a while now I've been wanting to send in a question involving THOOLAH, but I have yet to think of a good, funny question to ask. I want my first question to be good.

Dear Mr R Donaldson.
Hi.
I'm the guy who started Kevinswatch; but I'm also the guy who started THOOLAH.
Do you like me, or hate me?

Dear Mr. Kevinwatchstarter&THOOLAH guy.

I have decided to make Linden Avery the main character for the last two books. Thomas will be her lap dog and obey every whim.

:P

Judging by the way he responded last time the UK Watchers met him, you could well be right. 8O
