Surprise announcement - the map will expand. When it does so, people will stay in the same cardinal positions (obviously), though they will be slightly more spaced out from one another, and their grid co-ordinates will be changed. However, until such time, players should not change the refs they use in their orders. Esseentially, I am opening up more space in the centre.

In RP terms, you can chalk it up to erroneous, or misinterpreted, map co-ordinates (those damn RU).

TURN 5 Orders are due by noon this Saturday the 19th. It is Sunday night here now, which means everyone has just under a week. For game reasons, no extensions will be granted this week. If you miss the deadline, you won't carry out any orders this week. Pressure's on.

Monty, I am not asking for an extension. But just to forewarn...

Beorn has his first ever high school semester exams this week, and then we are driving to Orlando airport Thursday afternoon for him to fly to New York to visit my MIL over the extended weekend. That should give me all day Friday until 9:00 PM (equivalent to noon Saturday for you) to work on my Orders, depending on if Hyperception decides we need to do errands or not as he is off work that day. But, as you posted, proceed without me if they're not turned in by then.

Do what you can. The strict deadline is for in game reasons this week, and has nothing to do with any real-world considerations of mine. If people have to miss the deadline, their faction will be effectively inactive this turn, and it will quickly become apparent why. So, the sooner people submit orders, the better off their faction will be.

Just to point out an important detail:

The RU more or less "ordered" all factions to tune to frequency 150.6. Sending the RU a secret message (i.e. to me in a PM, or in the orders) kind of sends the obvious impression that you are using other channels and, thus, disregarding their directive. Therefore, it is logical for players to assume that the RU would like offers etc to them to be made publicly (i.e. posted in the game thread). That is all I'll say on it, as I do not wish to give further info on NPCs who could very well not exist at all.

Posted a piece started early last turn which I only got round to continuing this week. Possibly part one of several, depending on how quickly I can get the following bits finished. Stands well on its own, if I can't.

Thanks Murrin.

And to everyone else who has posted a story or role play so far. If I was still lurking instead of playing, you guys would have snagged an addiction from me to the game within the last week or so. Y'all's story telling is incredible.

Yes, very cool story. I'd like to see more if you can afford the time, though it will stand on its own two legs (or four) if it has to :)

I've sent my orders, but I managed to confuse myself with all the internal/external, forming and moving companies stuff, so you might want to check for glaring errors...

Three players missed their turn deadlines and, due to the rules of the upcoming event, they are not able to submit for this turn.

From now on, all deadlines given must be adhered to strictly. I am very lenient if a player PMs me or leaves a note here asking for a reasonable extension, however. In lieu of this, all players who miss deadlines will always fail to do anything for the turn. I'm not meaning to sound dictatorial but, for those who go out of their way to submit early and on time, it's not fair to allow other players a few days extra to think about their moves.

God dammit, I simply forgot. Well, I will have to live the consequences.

Lore, I'm already attempting to remind one player of deadlines. I have no idea how effective it is, but I am trying.

I'll be happy to include you in the PMs, if it would help.
