Ah...

I was wondering about that $100K price tag for the Mists...

Are "Ruination" and "Rothmog gem" genuine artifacts that will appear in the game at some point, then?

Ruination appeared in the last game... As for Rothmog's Gems, you should ask the deity in question :P

Just thought of something--when will we be getting Court information (DR, waxing and waning)? After the first turn?

I'm working on more Pantheon items, and I was thinking that it might be nice if players purchased things related to their deity, rather than randomly. For example, I'd appreciate it if domains were purchased only by the player with that domain. As for artifacts, creatures and locations - well, that's up to you, but keep in mind that people might get confused if you display an artifact, and believe you have that artifact in game - so be careful, all of you who would buy Ruination, Eradication or any other of these items ;)

Is this just for fun, or does store purchasing have an actual game effect? I've basically been giving all my points straight to my brother, to be honest.

It's mostly for fun... though it would be nice for your deity profile to at least purchase the related domain item(s). And of course, if you purchase stuff you actually have - the Ssathiss item for example, and maybe later artifacts you may find, or special locations you control - it helps people if they don't have all the data nearby. But purchasing an item does not give you any straight in-game benefits...

Sorry, forgot to answer this one. the Divine Right, the waxing and the waning of the Courts will all be calculated at the end of Turn 4.

Ok, thanks. Will hold a reserve for that, then.

Somewhat unrelated, Montressor, but I was reading this week about how the Mayans at Tikal seem to reference in their inscriptions Teotihuacán, the ancient pre-Aztec city. It reminded me of my latent desire to see the place in person. I'm mulling over doing a quick weekend trip to Mexico City in the spring to see the place. Should I go, perhaps you could use a panoramic shot of the place on a scale where the individuals wouldn't look like tourists, but Ezticoatl's followers.

Ths thing about buying the items you have, at least as far as artifacts and relics go, is you have to give away the fact that you have them...

Hell, yeah. I would appreciate that, a lot. I have been working on sketching my own (along with some Ssathiss pics), but some photos would be fantastic.

I was talking with an archaeologist from Mexico who was doing some talks for my university, and he was bemoaning the privatisation of many of the Central Mexican ruins. There are some which now have dolphin pools besides the pyramids, for instance. And some which have fake pyramids within eyeshot of the real ones. Not that the government does a great job with preservation of these relics (actually, the Mexican government does a terrible job, although they have some of the best museums in the world)...but it's hardly desireable to turn them into tacky tourist nexuses, I think.

Which could actually be a good bluff.

Murrin, once you purchase an item, you have the choice of whether to display it or not.

~edit~

uh-oh...

I seem to not have the capability of returning an item to the store...

Actually, that's just the option to display them next ot your posts. People can still look at everything you own.
The "Sell Items" option is in the Store, by the way.

:(

There is nothing in the store necessarily relating to the earth.

The Woven Sphere? WOOHOO! :D
You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

I know! How cool.

Xar, could you include Sanctuary? I was particularly pleased with that city.
