Yes friends, it seems Helen Slater is a singer. Not exactly a power voice, mind you, but definitely a nice listen if you like accoustic jazzy stuff.

"Hot"ness (or rather, lack thereof) was never her problem. Even now (though, IMHO, she could stand to consume a few more calories) she's still pretty high on the cute scale.

She's a much better singer than she is an actress, though, and I wish her great success with her albums.

i was intrigued by her guesting on Smallville. I have never seen the show. I would watch her two episodes.

Smallville is pretty good at pulling performers from other renditions of the Superman universe and fitting them into their own mythology. Annette O'Toole, Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder, Dean Cain, and now Helen Slater.

i think i may rent the series from blockbuster. they have used green arrow and aquaman if i am correct? any other heroes/villains?

Lex, Brainiac, Zod, and I don't know who all else on the bad-guy side.

But yeah, plenty of crossover.
