#1 The rape.
#2 Elana, TC's rape child making the moves on him. I thought that was slightly disturbing. That's when ya knew that chic was not all there.
#3 The giants of coercri submitting to ravers.

Honorable mentions:
Ranyhyn hanging out because of their oath to visit Lena.
Cail leaving to go back to the merewives
Cableseadreamer's death and no limb to show for it.

Oh yea, there are others but "dude" I don't want to go on and on.

There are some in the Final Chronicles but there are many that are disappointments and I don't want to be a spoiler.

1. Kevin telling Linden to kill Covenant in Andelain. Seriously. Sure, he may bitch and moan, but not enough to kill him over, and he eventually gets the job done, unlike certain female leads I could name. This, of course, leads to...

2. Linden telling off all of Covenant's Dead. Forget how that must make him feel (Guilty, I'm sure. What doesn't?); I wanted to see some more of Foamfollower, Mhoram, and Bannor.

3. The freaking Sunbane itself. Brilliant in it's cruelty - on both SRD's part and Lord Foul's.

Gotta wonder what the people of the Land thought when it first showed up.

In no particular order.....

-The rape. I was like 11 or 12 when I first read the books, so that was quite the shocker.

-Elena hitting on TC. After the rape, probably the nastiest thing in the 1st Chrons.

-Korik's return to Revelstone. Damn you SRD for not detailing this.

-The end of the Vow and Bannor in TPTP. Bannor's brief description of Korik's return, and, "I do not ride".

-The Seventh Ward and the Law of Unintended Consequences. In other words, "Whoops!"

-The Sunbane. Utterly brilliant.

-The Worm of the World's End. Utterly silly.

-The One Tree. Utterly pointless. Actually, I've warmed to this book over the last few decades.

-Cail saying, "F.U." to TC and going to get laid.

-The Last Chrons. Well, so far at least.

That's a pretty good list. :)

New(er) thread merged to the old.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Does that explain the counting discrepancy, by any chance?

No, but I suppose it does pardon any such errors made in the newer thread. Regardless, I claim no responsibility.

1. the rape
2. the knowledge that Atarian knew of the rape yet kept her oath for the greater good.
3. Covenant worrying about the scrape on his knuckles and marveling at the pain as Atarian prevented Triock from killing Covenant.
4. Elena-Foul-wife.
5. The doomed mission to seareach and the failure of Korik, Sill and Doar.
6. Cable Seadreamer's death at The One Tree
7. Elena coming on to Covenant

I dont have enough time to list the others. :)

1. Joan leaving covenant because he was a leper, as she did not want him around Roger. (When she was sane)

2. The Banefire. I lament for the Harucai.

3. Lord foul NEVER dies!

4. Seadreamer and his sacrifice.

5. The unhomed. Aaah, what a valient family of Giants, there fate was an atrocity!

6. The Ur-Viles. At one time they were pure evil. Now otherwise?????

7. The rape. I am the few that seem to understand this, though. Covanent thought it was not real, it was a DREAM. In this dream, he could finally feel. FEEL!!!! This is a sensation he had not encountered and lust after for so long. He wanted to take advantage of it while he could. When is the last time you thought of consequences while dreaming??? Dreams are pleasure or pain, not in-between.

This is my first post by the way.
Stone and Sea! Hellfire! I am estatic to have encountered a group such as this.
