LOL Me too! AND I tried out for the part in a production of it here in TO, but didn't get it (I looked too young at the time.)

Agreed! Arsenic and Old Lace is a CLASSIC and an overlooked one! Everyone should see this. It is subversively funny. And CG is fantastic!!!! It is scary how much George Clooney is like him! Both do comedy and drama effortlessly.
To Catch a Thief and North by Northwest are a couple of my faves (along with A&OL) for CG's!

For me, my one vote is: "The Maltese Falcon".
I watch it one a year at least.

Oh, and "Dr, Strangelove..."

I am one of those people who saw Mag. 7 early in his life, liked it, then saw Seven Samurai and loved it. Now I have a hard time going back to M7... It's good, but so pale by comparison...

Although good casting for Yule and Coburn...

Double Indemnity is stellar. A BABE by the name of Barbara Stanwyck kicks ass and Fred McMurray too... Edward G. Robinson is in it...'nuff said.

Nice call on Stalag 17... A brilliant film... musical, mystery, comedy, drama, it's all that and more! What a fantastic movie!

One of my most profound movie experiences. (I'd rank The Seventh Seal among the top 20 or so greatest films ever). But..out of sight, out of mind. I haven't seen it in years and don't have a copy, unless I were to splurge for the expensive Criterion edition (not likely).

(I gotta bump Psycho to #2 now on my b&w classics list. The Seventh Seal is #1. No, really, I mean it this time...)
