I'm thinking about taking a ride to the Apple Store with what's left of this morning and browse around.
Sorry to hear about your headaches, I've had a lot of problems with those since I was rear-ended last year. You're right to go to the optometrist, it's best to rule out the simpler things first, and hopefully that's all it is. I'm over due for a new set of reading glasses, (by about 3years), and if I could stay out of here long enough, I might go myself. . Best of luck to you, and I hope you keep feeling better.

I love taking little "cat-naps" in the middle of the day, maybe you should try it. The weekends are the only time I can really get away with it.

I've been checked out by nearly every specialist and every type of radiology machine within a hundred miles of here, most of them say the same thing. "it will get better with time", or some other crap meaning the same thing. I'm learning to deal with it for the most part. Since I was a nurse for several years, I guess, I make one of their least favorite types of patients. I ask all the questions that they have no certain answers for.

I'm getting a middle ear infection. My brother had it and was very sick, now it's developing in me. All last night and this morning, there's been this pressure in my right ear and I feel very drained.

You will get that from the 'medical' field.
I'll ask again.
Have you been checked out by a reputable chiropractor?
Their approach is completely different than modern 'medicines.'
I can practically guarantee you will not be told "it will get better with time."

Many chiropractors have a placard in their waiting rooms which says this...
The five most dangerous words in the English language:
Maybe it will go away...
But...enough. I know of a site that could help you find a reputable chiropractor that uses the method of manipulation I recommend the most. I won't push it on you though. If interested, PM me.

Yes, I've been to the closest thing we have here to a reputable chiropractor, unfortunately, we don't have a lot of options in the stone-age here. Apparently the damage was not restricted to my c-spine, and now they believe, that I've developed some form of arthritis.

I'm felling pretty exhausted. Its been an extra long week work wise so I'm looking forward the day off tomorrow, a lie in and hopefully a nice drive after that as my first time out as a fully licenced driver :D

Crap! That can be rather painfull. My son had a period in his life where he was plagued by mid-ear infections. It is all a sleep deprived blur to me now.

How am I feeling? Tired. My son has a not very serious cold, but he coughs a lot. My wife and I made a deal to split up the night, so that we could both get some coherent sleep. However, my wife decided that drinking wine and giggling loudly with her sister untill 2 am took precedence over our up-front agreement, so I am understandably miffed!

I was telling Menolly yesterday that I believe that headaches are often a sign of the flu for me. I haven't had the flu in the common sense since I was a child, but during the flu season I'll occasionally get a nagging headache that will last a day to a day and a half. But I think in this case that the cause was eyestrain.

I hope in your case the "it will get better in time" line comes true sooner rather than later.

Thanks, everyone. I'm feeling better.

Anyway, I've had a great weekend. It's Monday in Australia today, and it's also a public holiday. I plan to do some studying today, read more of A Clash of Kings, and maybe chat to a lovely lady sometime.

I feel. . . confused. I ran into a guy that I met the other night at my friend's Miyazaki movie night. Another friend who was with me today thinks that he was really, really flirting with me. I can't deny that he was, though I rather believe he's just that kind of guy. Anyhow, he's much younger than I am, and to be truthful, it makes me feel my age quite keenly. I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to relate to someone who is that much younger than I am. The worst part of the whole deal is I'm pretty sure I agreed to come over for the next movie night. Sigh. . . I'm just not good at dating. :( :?

good luck Lyr. Don't sweat it...just go out and enjoy it. You might find that him and you get on really well.

Wish I had young men throwing themselves at me... ;)

Me. Meh. I'm tired. My partner snores like a pig.

~Lyr,

As someone who has been married almost 20 years to a guy eight years my junior, I say don't sweat the age difference. It keeps you young!

Well, I can't speak for her, but my wife is 11 years older than I am and we will have been married for 20 years in Dec. Age matters not! :)
What are you looking at?

I bought a new computer. I upgraded to the 24'' wide screen LCD monitor and I also got some 5.1 speakers to go with it. It has an AMD 9600 Phenom processor, 4 gigs of RAM and a 1 TB hard drive. All I know is that it kicks ass , has a really big screen, and that I finally have the thing running.
