Talked to my sister in Scotland for a long time today, she and my nieces are doing great, the younger one is just a year old, and I haven't gotten to meet her yet, which always makes me a little sad when I hear her voice over the phone, as I've missed so much already. She called mostly to tell me that she's already mailed me some goodies for my birthday next month. Yay! International mail is always more exciting for some reason. She likes to knit, I like to sew, which is why she's sending me a lot of patterns and notions. We play different instruments as well, so we've agreed to learn a few of the same songs so that when I finally come to visit we can play them together, I hope she has a piano handy, I don't think they'll let me bring one on the plane....

I feel like I want to brick someone up in the family cellars again. I'm sure EL would volunteer if I told him there was Amontillado down there.

Wait, you want EL to lay the bricks, or do you want to him be walled up in the cellars?

My partner has come home (happy), seen my avatar on KW and suddenly gone totally off his tree and left the house in a sh*t. So, maybe I should go put something more appropriate on (my avatar that is). Self expression out the window! :P

Fortunato may be getting lonely. Of the bricks I laid for him, "for half of a century no mortal has disturbed them". So, EL will have to squeeze inside too.

I'm happy, people.

I see that none of you understand what this means.

You should all be very, very, very afraid.

Well, that's pretty crappy. I'm not sure what his issue would be. I mean, it's not like your av is a photo of you or anything..... or..... is it? In any event, sorry.

Today, I'm freaking cold. Currently our temp is -10 F with wind chills down to -45 F. (The high today is supposed to be 0 F.) And I was just out clearing the snow drifts out of driveway. Brrrrrrrrr.... (where's the chattering teeth emoticon?)

Happy? I thought that was just an illusion? ;) Congratulations on your illusory emotion, though!

 it is an illusion, but let him have it for while it lasts. FOR WHILE IT LASTS!

hey mortice--you had something earlier about maybe it's the building where i work that may be making me feel ill...well, this morning i overheard a guy telling his co-workers that as soon as he steps into this building, his sinuses clog up and he said there must be something in this building that he is allergic to. anyway, made me remember what you said. what can anyone do about that anyway?

And said single girl is just over 5 feet tall. Her bathtub is nearly six feet long. This is actually less than ideal for soaking with a good book. :(
...if you have any community colleges nearby, the massage therapy programs typically have "meet the public days"...which amounts to a 30 minute massage for about 10 bucks.
