Second Languages

we of the great south land give passing acceptance of English. Of course we speak with one voice; the ever evolving strine. Whilst those of our brethren sometimes cling lovingly to the various tongues of their forebears, there's nothing better than the sounds of a second or third generation European, A
Asian or increasingly North African lilt prefacing and completing each sentence with the all encompassing maaaate.

Had a passing knowledge of PapuaNew Guinean pidgin when I tromped the highlands in the semblance of a job pre independence.

Only one language and sometimes not very well.

Wish I could speak Japanese, German, Russian, Mandrian Chinese and of course my Grandparent language of Hungarian.

Good Old Gramps could speak 9 and read & write 7 of those.
