More annoyed. I'm on the other computer today, and two times now it's done what happened last night. Since the internet seems to stay connected, but the computers can't connect to the router, I'm beginning to think something's wrong with the router (which is less than three months old).
Worst thing is, it always seems to happen when I'm in the middle of a post.

Edit: Ah, I may be on to something. It went again, this time I waited and watched the router's lights--it seemed to lose internet and wireless for a bit, but it all came back after a minute and when I went back to the computer, it worked again. This means no more resets, I hope.

hey mortice--you had something earlier about maybe it's the building where i work that may be making me feel ill...well, this morning i overheard a guy telling his co-workers that as soon as he steps into this building, his sinuses clog up and he said there must be something in this building that he is allergic to. anyway, made me remember what you said. what can anyone do about that anyway?
Typically that kind of stuff is allergen related, usually something in the air (like mold in the walls or something). The real fix is to have maitenance check to vents and such, but if your maitenance guys are like ours, that's fairly unlikely. The next best thing is to open windows and air out the place, but again, not real practical in winter. If it's a lot of sinus related stuff something like over the counter claritin or benadryl would help, or alternatively a nasal spray like Afrin. Trouble with Afrin though is that you can only use it for about 5 days or so before you'd start to get some congestion because of the spray - Afrin can sort of have an addictive quality to it.

I'd guess what I'd recommend for that type of thing is either claritin or a couple days of Afrin. If the Afrin seemed to work well, then maybe talking to your physician about a nasal spray like Flonase or something similar to use daily. From what I remember you saying though, your symptoms sounded more like gastrointestinal upset and anxiety, so I'm not sure if that would be useful, though it'd be worth trying. One other thing I'd do would be getting a carbon monoxide detector put in near your work station; sometimes people can get stomach type symptoms as well as nasal stuff from CO at moderate levels.

I feel like I'm finished with my morning class. I'm going to get some lunch, and then drive 1 hour back to my home (had to travel for work today). Ciao!

I'm fine today. Altho I have an attorney who wants to play the conference room shell game with me (my notes are on the white board *here* and the meeting's supposed to be over *there* -- can you fix it?). Ah well...

I'd just like to observe that less than three months after starting this new thread, we're on page 72. 8O

I'm feeling great after I forced myself out of bed at 6am (unheard of for me) and went down to the pools for a sunrise swim before work. I think i'm going to keep doing that because it seems like such a great way to wake up and get going.

Beorn is in the University of Cambridge CIE magnet program at our local high school. The standard grading scale here is a 4.0 for an A. However, honor courses are weighted at 4.5, Advanced Placement at 5.0, and Cambridge classes at 6.0.

Beorn received straight A's. With his Cambridge, AP and Honor courses, as well as his two standard classes, his weighted GPA is at 4.91666...
