Even when on the other side of the world? And disguised as one of my followers?

I dont mind, It has allowed me to put something in place that will piss a few people off, but its a necessary precaution

Schism often suggests a difference of views resulting in a split. a splinter factions is often a similar set of views, but often more or less extreme with different methods.

example, a splinter faction is often full of religious fundamentalists who use aggression etc, while the main body would use politics

It's possible. Just ask Undine and Mithyaat Vam (Stonemaybe and Lucimay) how two of my Important Worshippers died last game.

As for schism/splinter: The diference seems to be that Xar has never referred to anyone "suffering a schism" except in the Rules Thread example.

Just be glad they weren't trying to assassinate anyone. Resurrecting people is enough of a bother when you're god of Death and Health, nevermind when you're god of Nothing, heh.

no. not necessarily. my followers 3 or 4 times went and did things i had not told them nor sanctioned them to do. but i hadn't told them NOT to either!! i believe this can be avoided by specifically signifying in your turn that your followers should not do such and such to so and so or something similar. (creator as AK would specify that his favored guys should go out and blah blah blah but not to this god or that god, like that)

if a gods followers go out and do something the god did not tell them to do, it should be in their turn results that their followers did it, tho. and then, if the god doesn't contact you and say something like "those damned errant followers, so sorry, how can i fix this with you" then you have every right to do whatever in retaliation.

am i over explaining? does it make any sense?

Perfect explanation, Luci.
I was definitely informed of the Centaur crusaders.
I never even thought of specifying crusade was not a possibility, as my hope is to share the land.

Hmm. I've been struggling to think of any reason for Bel to have a creation story, but now seeing the number of contest entries rapidly rise I think I'm going to have to come up with something or risk being left behind...

I'm so lost about a Creation story. :( I have the beginnings of one, but don't know where to go with it. Freakin' contests!!!

Xar wrote: Incidentally, about non-DRP blessings: given the enormous volume of those blessings that were sent back and forth this turn, and fearing that the number is only destined to increase as time goes by, I have decided to remove them completely from the game. In lieu of these blessings, you can of course always send Treasury to help your allies' endeavours; further, with an expense of divine power, you can always hinder or favor other gods. But to save me time when processing turns, enough with the non-DRP blessings :P
The majority of these blessings were mine, so I apologize for the workload. Should've figured on that BEFORE I sent them. I'm fine with the no Domain blessing rule. Whatever makes it easier on you.

Just added my contest entry. Was running out of free time, so it's something I literally 'knocked-together' in the last 40mins or so. I had originally intended to add two creation myths, one when the religion was polytheistic, and the modern monotheistic version. As it stands, I hadn't the time, so I simply pointed out that there was an earlier, polytheist version. The basic idea had been floating around in my head for a few weeks, though.

Enjoy.

Montressor, just in case you have a little free time in the next 28 and a half hours, the deadline is usually 10:00 PM GMT (I think?) of the day stated. You can probably edit or add a second entry before then, if you wish.

Good job, Montressor!

I guess you could always keep the other myth handy, ready for another opportunity.

I think Borderlands has got me used to putting together my actions quickly; I can't seem to get used to the longer deadlines on Pantheon. There's one action from this turn that I don't think I can hold back on any longer and will have to write out today, before I start work on my contest entry.

perhaps with the restrictions on non drp blessings, the turn results will be a little quicker. at least until we all gain in drp and have dozens of moves. heh.
