I'm planning on getting the Go Rin No Sho tatooed on my back, but I wanted to know what everyone thought of this:

True. Unfortunately, I think in South Carolina I'd get beaten up for making fun of 9/11 instead of being insensitive about the Holocaust.Menolly wrote:...uhm...
For some of us, the phrase Never Forget has a totally different connotation EL. I don't have a problem with you using it, but it may bring some interesting comments from your family your way.
The idea of you getting beaten again for any reason gives me intense shivers. Think this over carefully, OK?Emotional Leper wrote:True. Unfortunately, I think in South Carolina I'd get beaten up for making fun of 9/11 instead of being insensitive about the Holocaust.Menolly wrote:...uhm...

Well, the deathstar will just be black and grey, so whatever colours the text are will be in colour.Chrysalis wrote:Its good to get imput from others and discuss it. Are you planning of doing the design first by hand yourself or getting a tattooist to draw one up for you?
Will it be in full colour or just black and white?
The caption will be the important part. I'm sure you will find something perfect.
Quite a sensitive area to get tattooed I should think. At least it won't be on a bone and you will be able to see it which is a plus.Emotional Leper wrote:Well, the deathstar will just be black and grey, so whatever colours the text are will be in colour.
I'm thinking about getting it on my forearm, just below the elbow.
I'm also thinking about what it would be like to explain the tattoo to (someone's) grandchildren.
More like I don't want to get arrested for accosting someone else's grandkids to explain my tatoo.Chrysalis wrote:Quite a sensitive area to get tattooed I should think. Explaining the reasons behind it shouldn't be too hard as you will be able to tell them the reasons you chose it and why you chose the design you did. They may not fully grasp the meaning (dependng on their ages) but they will know it must have meant a lot to you to make you get a perminant mark for life.
'Never Far Far Away'Emotional Leper wrote:I'm discussing it with a friend who has alot of tattoos, and so far we're leaning towards two tie-fighters zooming towards an exploding DeathStar.
Trying to come up with a short caption that conveys, "Never Forget" but with a word synonymous with "Remember".
We're thinking about getting it together now.DukkhaWaynhim wrote:'Never Far Far Away'Emotional Leper wrote:I'm discussing it with a friend who has alot of tattoos, and so far we're leaning towards two tie-fighters zooming towards an exploding DeathStar.
