The original song was done solely with E, A, and D chords. However, Em, Am, and Dm create a somewhat 'depressed' sound. So as the song progresses it gets more 'sad' sounding.

i should like to hear that. any plans to play it, record it and share it? reminds me of when Black Flag covered Louie, Louie and added the line about a gun.

I have recorded it. The problem is, though, is I don't have proper mixing software, and plugging my amp straight into my computer causes some god awful noises. As soon as my W-2s get here, I'm gonna be using my tax return (or atleast about 150 of it) to get some Line 6 recording stuff, so I can do it right.

(My strat sounds like a frickin' synth after I do noise removal with Audacity.)

As soon as I get something that can record without it sounding like crap, I'm gonna start putting it on MySpace and such. My music will be free, until such a time as people like it, and then it will be expensive.
