Interesting fact: the American Psychological Association de-registered him. So he cannot practice as a Psychologist.Emotional Leper wrote:That man is not a Doctor.
He has a Doctorate.

They deserve some sort of award for that.

He's done it before (as I successfully made him see the light about the brilliance of Tennant), but never while I've had this av.Menolly wrote:Are you talking about the Tennanat av?
I'm rendered speechless and was going to post about it in the new Doctor Who thread...

i voted no, though i don't have a really good reason. i've not watched his show much. i wasn't impressed with how he handled the whole brittany spears thing but i have high expectations for health care professionals and breaches of confidentiality especially when it comes to mental illness. i guess dr phil isn't exactly a health care professional, but dammit, he plays one on TV.
well, i guess i had a good enough reason, eh? LOL
(and i know, i know...no one has any sympathy for brittany but i myself being the daughter of a mom who was bipolar, i tend to have a bit more sympathy for brittany than i would've had otherwise. i am glad my mom wasn't famous and didn't have her many ambulance rides to the psych hospital televised).

...sorry Sea...my fault...
As far as Dr. Phil goes, I was never a fan. But when he did a show a few years ago featuring a teen supposedly with Beorn's disorder, I tuned in.
...Oh...My...G-ds...
If Mama Bear had been latent prior to that show, she would have had her first incarnation. Fortunately, I had learned to advocate properly for Beorn a few years before.
IMO, not only was said teen totally mishandled by Dr. Phil and his staff, but he never had a chance from the get go from what was shown of the way his parents treated him.
Never again.
I never tuned into the show again.

I don't care about Dr. Phil one way or the other.
