TC's age?

Post by Sill »

Does it say ANYWHERE how old TC is at the beginning of the First Chronicles? Any speculations?

I haven't started my annual re-read yet, but as far as I can remember, in the beginning he's described as a young writer, but by the time the story actually begins, the descriptions given, always led me to believe that he was in his mid to late 30's maybe in the first chronicles.
Has anyone seen my keys?

He's about thirty. Don't ask me to give you a quote; I just remember being surprised when I read it, because he seemed older.

I always pictured him as being under 30 at the start of the 1st Chronicles, making him under 40 at the start of the second. I also thought Linden was about five to ten years younger than TC.

Yeah I would say 30 at the start of the first chrons, but again, no textual evidence. (They frown on it if I read novels at work. Go figure. :? )

Thank you for the responses,

You know, I was more interested in where it said how old he was because I also had assumed he was about 30 years old at the start of the 1st book - I just coudn't find it.

Thirty at the start of the first, forty at the start of the second, and Linden is ten years younger. If I get chance I'll see if I can look it up.
