Why oh why do the undead haunt me so?
Perhaps you need to get it out of your system by playing Zombie Apocalypse?

...seriously though...
I hope it wasn't too disturbing.

The unsettling thing is that it's recurring, and the cast of characters doesn't change.

I had a waking nightmare last night...i hoped that it was all a terrible dream, but alas, when i woke up today, the Patriots still lost last night.

I had a bizzare dream last night. My family arrived with a lot of my old "junk' to sort through. It was a work day, and I was late to work already. I told my Mom I didn't want to deal with it, and she said I had to do something with it. I told her that maybe we should just throw it all away, since I didn't have time to sort through it. Just then a overweight man in a suit walked up onto my lawn where the stuff was strewn. He started taking things, and when he did I realized that the things he was picking up were important to me. And then he picked up my name badge/tag for work (it's the kind that clips to your clothes, and has a string that spools when it is pulled). This made me really angry since I have to have my name badge for work. I told him to let go, but he wouldn't. He never said anything, or relinquished what he was holding no matter what I did to him--including violence! 8O He just stayed there for several days, refusing to act or react, and refusing to relinquish my things.

I know my subconscious must be dealing with stuff. :?

 That would be my guess, yeah. Starting with family-of-origin baggage, probably.... ;)

Thanks you two. . . I mean it's obvious what it's about. There are parts I didn't describe. . . particularly the violence I tried to enact. . . I woke up ashamed at myself. I'm not a violent person, and there was no need for what I did. :(

You know I'm not making fun of you, right?

I dunno about being ashamed, tho. Sounds like somebody is trying to take away something very precious to you. That would be a pretty good justification for putting up a no-holds-barred defense.

I know, Ali. Thanks! :) I just felt ashamed that I attacked someone who was doing no violence to me, and just accepted the violence I did. I could see the bruises appear, and blood running, and the sad look on his face. It just made me ashamed. I hope I would never do that when I'm awake. :?

Considering the way the dream made you feel, I'm sure you wouldn't, Lyr. :)

Many people do things in dreams that they would never even consider doing while awake. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Sounds nice. I wish I could have really attended instead of my dream double.

HAHAHAHA!!!!

About ten years ago, I used to work at a servo (americans call them "gas stations"!!), on graveyard shifts. I would sometimes have the most boring dreams known to man - I'd be dreaming I was at work, someone would come in and ask for "a pack of Winnie Reds, thanks mate", I'd get them the smokes, take their money, and they would go. And that was it!! I was often aware in the dream about how boring it was. I can remember thinking, on one occassion: "this is my dream?! Ripped-off!"

I have zombie dreams with relative infrequency. I love 'em. I usually have more Post-Apocalyptic dreams. In my most recent one, I was knifing a mutant dog to death, then I calmly walked into the bunker (which looked like an urban apartment block). There was supposed to have been a nuclear holocaust, yet there was no sign of any damage - mutant dogs notwithstanding.
