luckily, there's no property to separate, no children. he can have anything in our apartment except my two acoustic guitars and my books. everything else is replaceable.

Give him a deadline. It worked for me.
Related story: When my friend (the one who was with us at Spamalot) moved out here for her new job, she had everything moved out here from California, even tho he stayed behind. When he finally told her he wasn't going to move out here, she had to box up all his stuff, split up the common property, hire movers, and have everything shipped to him.
After the movers left, he called her: "I can't find the towels." She said, "They're in one of the boxes." He said, "Which one?" And she said, "Here's what you do. You open the first box and look through it. If the towels aren't in there, you open another box...."
