Ahhh.. that is a work in progress. I'm going to make my own lava lamp! Thats the actuall lamp. I need to build the base and the heating element. Should be pretty cool.Chrysalis wrote:Balon-what is that blue/green thing behind your computer?
It is! Not only do I love the smell, but it mask other smells quite nicely. I picked up that particular piece of questionable content today.Sunbaneglasses wrote:That is a cool contraband. Are those boxes of Nag Champa on the far right?

Cool!! I have a red and black one lurking at the top of my picture. Are you planning quite a detailed base or was there a reason you decided to build one yourself?Balon wrote:Ahhh.. that is a work in progress. I'm going to make my own lava lamp! I spy! Find the contraband in Balon's picture!Wyldewode wrote:Nice pictures, Balon and Chrysalis! And Balon, your talk about contraband makes me want to search for it!

I got only the lamp part from a friend who didn't want it! So now it's make a base, or no lava lamp.Chrysalis wrote: Cool!! I have a red and black one lurking at the top of my picture. Are you planning quite a detailed base or was there a reason you decided to build one yourself?

Balon's desk on the other hand...holy crap, now that's clutter! No offense intended, man!

I really need to declutter! You're like Vain who was apologetic over the "mess" in his room. What clutter, Chrysalis? Are you sure you're showing the right picture?

well considering I have two computers on the desk and far too many cds and 'things' around it could use a bit of decluttering
I don't think I saw Vain's mess but I am sure he had his reasons!

I see your point about the CDs, Chrysalis. I keep software CD-ROMs under my computer desk, but store my music CDs separately in the other room.
Okay, here's my new PC setup:

The monitor, speakers and mousepad (and desk) are the same from last time. The new stuff: computer & case, wireless keyboard & mouse, game pad and replacement cable modem. The chair is new, too, as my old one broke, but it's just a basic "student" model - I really don't require anything fancier to sit on. I began building the new system during the Christmas holidays, but only now is it ready for prime time. It wasn't a labor of love, but of hellfire and damnation. But, I got it done, and the system is humming along nicely now. Whew.
