I have Wii, and am curious about setting it up for on-line stuff. Is it good? Is there a fee? (how the heck do I do it?)
thanks!

Yes, Lord Foul is correct, to my understanding.Lord Foul wrote:I bought the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector, which is a very small USB device that hooks to your computer and sends out a wireless signal. Your Wii picks it up and you're good to go.
Jay's right: there's not a ton to do online, but you can download some classic games on the Virtual Console. You pay for them with Wii Points. You can pay online via credit card or buy a Wii Points card (worth 2000 points) at retail stores. NES games cost 500 points, SNES/Genesis 800, and N64 games 1000.
My son would like to get the experienced Super Smash Bros. players here on each others' (and his) friends lists, so he will have some experienced people to challenge. I am not sure how to get on each others' friends lists, but I know he goes by the screen name of Rick Kirby on the wii, if that helps you add him.kevinswatch wrote:Er...me too. Unfortunately we do not have a Wii, despite my intense desire to buy one. Metroid Prime 3 has been out and I can no longer walk into any game store.
Good news.jelerak wrote:Duchess...you gave me the help that I needed.
And guess what??? I was playing with the settings and someone near my house must have a wireless router, cuz I am now online!
My boys have been on line all day transfering Miis to their plaza.
