I've taken my first few tentative steps back into World of Warcraft. So far I'm just noodling around, putting a few levels on characters here and there, saving a bit of money for my epic flying mount (I'm halfway there already!). I've even given thought to the possibility of raiding again, but as soon as it all stops being fun I'll pack it in.

I'm trying to level my priest up to level 70 before the next expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. Healers are always in demand and I figure it will make me a more desirable group member. More desirable up until the group becomes painfully that my two and a bit years of playing a rogue and a mage haven't taught me the first thing about healing!

Heh, that goes back to the old SNES days with Super Mario RPG. I used to call it Super MaRPGio. It became a lame inside joke with my middle school friends.-jay

Audiosurf. Basically another block-dropping, match-three-the-same-colour game, but in this one you're moving along a track with the position of the blocks and the speed you move determined by which audio track you select to build the level. Just finished playing through an entire Smashing Pumpkins album. :D

Warcraft. And more Warcraft.

And I have dragged more innocent Watchers into Warcraft.

Turns out I can kill General Raam. I found a new tactic on google that I hadn't tried before, one both simple and elegant:

1) Shoot General Raam in the face until he dies
2) There is no number 2

I don't like World of Warcraft, I like the C&C style Warcraft 3, etc.

Playing Assassin's Creed which is fun but very lame.

I'm not quite understanding this statement unless there is an accent over the 'e' in lame.

Yeah, General Raam was hard. A lot of dodging and running for cover, luck and reloads. Lots and lots of reloads. One thing I learned the hard way: stay in the light.

Been playing Gears of War as well. This time on Hardcore and then on Insane.

Also, playing Fatal Inertia. Although it brings out my colorful sailor's colloquialisms. And lots of them.

Actually where I was going wrong before was that I was running up and down the train carriage, trying to stay out of Raam's why when (on casual difficulty at least) you can just stay put and keep shooting. Your active reloads need to be on the money though!

Raam moves around a heck of lot more on Hardcore. Make sure you know how to dodge efficiently and try to get as many headshots as possible. Active reloads in Hardcore are a must unless you're playing with a friend.

I've been playing some FFXII, and some Sims Bustin Out (belongs to my roommate). I'm waiting for the next Diablo to come out, and resisting all efforts to get sucked into WOW. :P Older brother now owns a game store and he keeps trying to get me to play.

I'm downloading Sins of a Solar Empire.

Also playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The last time I beat it was December 1998, when I used a player's guide. Ah, the follies of youth.
