Hmm.. nothing for Jumper yet?

Just got back from it. MUCH better than I expected. The opening monologue conveys the same feeling as some of the cheesier 90's flicks, but it recovered VERY well.

The only thing I disliked was the double ending. It would've been better without the sub-plot of his mother. Felt like a last minute add on.
All in all, not too shabby of a movie what so ever. I'll probably even end up buying it.[/url]

It got a half star rating from the two most loved/respected movie reviewers in Aust. Was quite a funny review. They also voted it a strong contender for worst hair piece in film history.

I saw it. Was ok. Too short. And leaves too much unanswered. Was nice to see Hayden and Samuel back together again. It will be funny to see the outtakes. I can hear Samuel say "you may be able to Jump, but you are not a Jedi yet!" :lol:

Overall, yes it wasn't a masterpiece or anything, but the effects were pretty damn good, and the concept was enjoyable.

I don't know if it's worth nine bucks (because I get in for free) but it's probably worth at least a rent for most viewers.

I've not seen it, but the trailers make it look like an empty special effects flick. I hear it also has almost nothing in common with the book it's based on.

A friend wants me to see it with him, so I probably will. But I dislike Hayden Christensen, based on his Star Wars woodenness. Plus, I can't stop chuckling at the title. Jumper. Heh.

I hear the working title was Sweat Shirt, and they added in the sci-fi stuff as an afterthought.

This leads me to realise that there's probably a whole bunch of clothing items that can be turned into action movie titles. They could do Parka, about a valet for flying cars at a futuristic hotel.

Jumper?!? I barely know 'er!

Hey, not a bad flick at all. Great fx! The story was fun enough. Yeah, yeah, love story. Yeah, yeah, weird thing with the mom that could have easily been left out. But the concept is good. The way he has his life set up. The places he goes at the drop of a hat. And especially the other jumper.

Just returned.
Interesting concept.
Being able to jump anywhere in the world in about, oh...three seconds.
...as long as you have a clear visualization of where you're going...

...hmm...where have I heard of this concept before?

They did it all the time in Bester's 50s novel The Stars My Destination, except it was called Jaunting, back then. :P

I guess McCaffrey got it for her dragons to jump between from there then.

What a terrific, handy ability for a dragon to have. It just makes the Pern books. Especially Jaxom and Ruth.
