HIIIIIII!!! It's MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Long time no see... :P

I've been a busy little elf, what with work, all teh Gate stuff, and being on holiday, both Xmas and my trip to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. THAT was brilliant, btw...and I scored a bonus on that trip - met my soulmate! Pity he lives in Adelaide... But he's RAAF and is already slated to do a mission to Perth in March!

They've made some speculations about his gallbladder but can't do anything about it until they can get his vital signs within normal range. His pulse was about 185 when they moved him to the better hospital, and that was after their attempts at stabilizing him at the local one. He's only five years older than me, with 5 year old daughter and a 9month old son, and his wife of 15years is absolutely beside herself. He's always taken care of her, and now she doesn't know how to handle the idea of him being sick. I've spent most of the last days trying to reassure her, when I could really use some reassurance myself. So, I guess, today, I'm feeling anxious, and I really needed to get some of that off my chest, so thanks for being Watchers, and thanks for being here, I already feel a little better.
So sorry to hear that, TheFirst. Sending you good thoughts.

O. M. G. !!!! ELFY! Nice to see you around. I was just thinking of you the other day!

You have a man...a soul-mate! That's GREAT news!!!

Post pics of your trip to the Cocos Islands!

Come back again soon! :)

I've had a good day: did a bit of work (no box unpacking unfortunately), yacked on the phone for over an hour to a good friend of mine, didn't do any dishes ( )...

Welcome back Elfie!

I was out and down yesterday with the illness. Doing better today, though the throat is raw. I wish I didn't have a job that required me to talk on the phone today.

Elfie! HOLA!

I feel really ill and scared right now. I just got back from the dentist to replace a filling and get cleaned. I swallowed a bunch of mouth crap, my face in numb, and nurse went berserk on my gums and I am not happy.

I'm both pissed off and stunned that a person I've known for over two years, and whom I considered a friend, has suddenly decided to change his attitude towards me completely, accusing me of "intolerable behaviours" and standing up on a pedestal to judge me, not to mention adding that he never thought of us as friends and doesn't care about me.
I can't help but feel betrayed.

I feel like I have a hangover despite me not drinking alcohol.

Also, I'm nervous about plans I'd made for tomorrow. It looks like snow might squelch them and if it does, I won't be happy.

Wish I knew... all of a sudden this guy has started accusing me of basically any loathsome behaviour you could have with others, then claiming that since he finds this behaviour intolerable, I should conform to his advice. He told me I can't relate to people, I'm utterly selfish, I'm a bastard who likes to exploit people, and so on. He said he only marginally cares about me more than a stranger, and when I told him I wanted to hear him about this in person he said he didn't have time to waste on this kind of stuff. When I called him on being selfish himself, as well as arrogant by assuming he's perfect and he has the right to judge others (wrongly, too), he said he knew he was not perfect but still he has the right to judge me as "inferior to others".
Honestly, I've never known anyone ranting like that... and all of a sudden, to top it all. You may think I'm exaggerating - but that's basically what he said, word for word.

How utterly insane.
And to think he wouldn't have the decency to say this to you in person.

I am so sorry, Xar.

I realise I don't know you that well - I mean, beyond the watch and IM - but from what I know you are anything but what he has said. You're one of the greatest people on the watch, and I don't think anyone would mirror his statements.

That is brutal and would have been undeserved even if you had done something to provoke it, which it sounds like you didn't. Trying not to be too judgmental here as I do not know you well or your 'friend' at all, but it seems to me that if they had a rational explanation for their actions they would have been willing to discuss it in a civilized manner. Whatever they may be going through, they had no right to take it out on you. :?
