Yeah, potty training is no fun. Mine son is almost three and he's into being real helpful. So when he goes, he tries to take off his diaper, then throw it away. Sooooo messy.

And Jaz, love the new avatar.

Here's a pet peeve:

I dislike it when I go to the doctor's office with my 85-year-old mother and the doctor talks to me instead of to my mother.

My mother broke her arm during the week and has a soft cast. She is scheduled to see the orthopedist tomorrow, but my husband and I spent the afternoon in the ER with her today because she started bleeding through the cast. Turns out she has a laceration at the site of the fracture which she must have disturbed somehow by movement, causing it to start bleeding. The doctor re-bandaged it and put the soft cast back.

When she was ready to be discharged, the nurse asked if one of us wanted to sign for her. I said, "She can sign for herself." She started to hand me the discharge papers and I said, "Give them to my mother and explain them to her, she can understand everything." At which point my mother piped up, "Yeah, I don't have dementia." :P

So the nurse explained everything to my mother and had her sign. But only with my prompting. What she should have done was ask her first if she were able to sign and speak to her without my prompting.

Elderly people are not little children. :soapbox:

lol Thanks! I was wondering if anyone would know who he was. ;)

I really hate it when I stumble across a band that I really like, but I can't buy their album in mp3 form.

I hate it when people call the ATM the ATM Machine, or when they call their PIN their PIN Number.

It's not an Automatic Teller Machine Machine, or a Personal Identification Number Number - the last word of each is built into the acronym.

I also hate that I always use the phrase PIN Number when I'm talking to customers because I can't think of another way to say it at the time.

And people read their MSDS sheets. They are already Material Safety Data Sheets.
I hear PIN number a lot.

I usually say 'PIN code' or '4-digit PIN', which is still sort of redundant, but not quite as annoying.

I am annoyed by people that want multi-million dollar FDA regulated clinical trial management software systems to alter their security practices so it can be more personally convenient for them - just so they don't have to log into them with username and password every time they want to use them.

Don't get me started on what's wrong with the radio business these days. Seriously.

Sarge, if you have a tape deck you can use a contaption like this to bring the sound right into your system. It works beautifully, if you have a cassette deck in your car (I don't).
