no...iam not, ha....but you can never replace...the true---PURE--Juan Valdez.

Oh yeah, and thanks for bumping the ancient "alter ego" thread! (Which, as it turns out, I once posted in. Holy cow, the synapses are starting to age....)

When the man with a 45 meets the man with a rifle, you said the man with a pistol is a dead man. Let's see if it's true.

...omgs...

Two older alter egos I have never seen before.

(suspecting dAN and TOM, respectfully)

This really does get confusing.

On the plus side, I've now outlived Freddie Mercury by 21 days. And if I make it through another 61 days, I'll have outlived George Reeves.

Is it a contest, Edge? Are you concerned about not outliving these people? 8O

~Lyr...

I dunno if it's a contest, but I admit to doing the same with my Mom. I am now six years past the age where she contracted her cancer, and I will have outlived her own age in two more years. It's morbid, and doesn't really mean anything, but it is something always in the back of my mind.

Mom crossed over on her 50th birthday. Whether I'll be able to let this go once I hit that mark, I don't know. But, it's not a contest to see if I'll outlive her. It's...

I dunno.

I understand. . . that was more or less what I was asking. I find myself comparing milestones (or lack of) with others as well. :?

My grandfather passed the day before his 60th birthday. It was definitely on our minds when my dad had a heart attack at 59, and it'll be on my mind more and more the closer to 60 I get.

Funny you should mention that. See, I believe you put that date of death in the wiki profile for Shattner, and then posted the link here. Unfortunately, it's totally consistant with your usual behavior here to pull a stunt like that. So, if you think you're somehow undeserving of my distrust, how about acting a little more trustworthy in the future?

Not withstanding Shatner's contributions to the world of Trekki-ness, I have to admit that the guy has always sort of given me the creeps :hide:

I have to agree with thefirst. The original Star Trek wasn't my favorite, and Kirk (Shatner) was a large reason why. :D

I'm sorry, y'all.

Shatner will always have a place in my heart for the totally over-the-top camp portrayal of The Chairman in the UPN attempt at an American Iron Chef series, Iron Chef, USA.
