Beef Stroganoff - onions, mushrooms, tender beef. Mmmmm. With a nice porter to drink. Perfect!

Had an early Valentine's dinner with Mrs Root at the Melting Pot, a nice Fondu restaurant. Good cheese, good chocolate, good wine. Again...yummy!

I had a frozen lo-mein kit in the freezer, and I made that. I know it's super-simple to make my own, but when I need to eat in less than 15 minutes because I'm starving, it saves me from getting fast food. Anyhow this brand didn't taste all that good. And now I'm hungry again (I ate 1 serving based on the nutritional info). Meh. . .

Oh yum...JazFusion wrote:Tonight is chicken enchiladas with a sour cream and cheese sauce served up with some mexican rice. I just can't decide if I want to use a tomatillo salsa or a regular tomato one. Hmm...
If I was invited, I would eat whichever you prepared.
But...
If you asked my preference...
Tomatillo.
Definitely.

I just finished assembling a vegetarian lasagna. The sauce has zucchini, broccoli, red peppers, onions, asparagus, fresh basil, thyme, sundried tomatoes, rosemary, garlic, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, red wine, whole peeled tomatoes, black olives, oregano and a hint of white truffle oil. The cheese layer is cottage cheese blended with egg and grated aged asiago, parmesan and romano and mozarella. I topped the cheese layers with a layer of fresh italian parsley blended with fresh baby spinach. Like an idiot I forgot the mushrooms so I sauteed them and added them as their own private layer....
This massive concoction is going in the fridge and then to be hauled out tomorrow for a potluck dinner and cast of the new FBH project meeting. The overnight storage lets all the flavors really enhance. Yummers!

Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....
