I tend to eat in the office at work, so I wolf it down.
However, at home my wife's usually the first to finish, with the kids not far behind, and me trailling in a sad last.
How fast do you eat?

When working, I eat at red lights. So pretty quick.
Sometimes, I eat food so fat I get the hic-coughs.
My wife won't eat pasta dishes with me, becasue it grosses her out how I hard chew it.
although, the more you chew, the better it is for you. The more your food is pulverised, the easier it is for your stomach to break it down to its nutrients...though, I don't really follow it, a nutritional rule of thumb, is to Drink your Solids...or...chew you fluids.

I thought you were a ripe grape
a cabernet sauvignon
a bottle in the cellar
the kind you keep for a really long time

I eat too fast. When I am with other people, I really concentrate on not being the first done, because I think I could seriously wig people out with my rate of speed.
I know its bad, I've known it for years, but like someone else wrote, I read when I eat, so one minute its there, the next its not.
Maybe I will try to fix this. It might be a good idea.
I read somewhere, that your body doesn't know its full for at least 20 minutes, so if you are totally shoving things down your throat, you don't know you are full until you are WAAAAAAY too full.
I think I WILL try to fix this. I am going to eat slowly from now on! (yeah, right....but I will give it a try, anyway!)

I'm a super slow eater. I usually don't finish something until it's gotten cold- I've learned to like food that's cooled down. I'm slowest when I'm eating something I really like or when I'm with people, but that's usually because I'm talking.
I don't think I'm a slow eater because I'm mindful of what I'm doing... I think a lot of it is because I over-chew. Eating is a pain in the ass, though, and I wish I didn't have to do it at all (maybe I should learn to eat faster to get it over with).
