I feel good. I have joined the 21st century by buying a new computer. The one I am currently using and have been using for ages is probably from 1993, and I got it free from a friend.

It will be so nice not to have to wait forever for something to load--I have DSL but the compy is so old it has a hard time handling these things.

It should be arriving today or tomorrow. Yippee!!!!!

For those who know the saga of my cat (he has hyperthyroidism), we gave him the radioactive iodine therapy ($1400) and it didn't work! Blast! They say that it doesn't work on 3% of cats. He is now on pills, twice a day, until I can come up with funding to do it again. They (I guess "they" being the people who know about these things) say it WILL work the second time. I hate shoving pills down my kitty's throat, and I am also finding it is affecting our relationship, I guess I will have to try again. The radioactive iodine is supposed to CURE the hypothyroidism, while the pill just deals with the symptoms. The radioactive iodine also gives him a longer chance of living. The pills usually the cat dies in two years or so, but with the iodine they live their normal span of years.

Aren't you all glad that you are now educated in kitty hyperthyroidism? LOL!

However, I am no longer freaking out about it, life throws things at you and you just have to deal with it.

AND I can't wait to get my new computer! :) :) :)

Sorry to hear that you're kitty's sick. I get hysterical when any of my pets are ill. Probably because I like them better than I like most people. (Population of KW, excluded :) ) I hope that the therapy works, my brother is actually going through basically the exact same thing, radiation and all.
And congrats on your new computer, I know how thrilled I was when I finally got DSL, it was like seeing the net in color for the first time, not to mention, my sister finally gets to send me all the silly YouTube links she's been going on about.
Has anyone seen my keys?

Breathlessly excited, today!

Today begins 'The Greatest Show on Turf', the Cheltenham Jump Festival (that's horse-racing).

I'm not ever a punter, except on these four days of the year. So wish me luck, please!

Withdrawal. Internet stopped working last night, for no reason we can work out (none of the email addresses we had through the ISP are working either). On a library computer now--I have to scroll pages very very slowly or it just jumps way down the page and I lose my place. It also has an annoyingly loud keyboard, which is stupid for a public place...
Might get it working again tonight. If not, back in library sometime tomorrow afternoon.

Oh Murrin!
My fear is the laptop will stop working and I'll only have access at the library.

I hope the problem is sorted soon!

JF, may your frustration quickly be resolved!

I feel good. Looking forward to the writers meeting this evening. Looks like a pretty full group which is good. Feels weird not to have internet access in the evenings but I am surviving. Still waiting to hear back about that apartment. I sent in the application Friday afternoon and the renter screening company said it takes 3-4 business days to process applications so I should be hearing tomorrow or Thursday. The wait is killing me. 8O :P
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

I woke up at 4AM because one of the co-renters (not Montresor) was using my new front-end loader washing machine at that time in the morning. I'm rather annoyed.

Thanks for the nice welcome, Matrixman!

I was feeling good until discussing anxiety with Seareach, and now my throat feels like it is closing up again. Either than or she is using some of her powers for evil instead of good. But this weekend I've been feeling fine, other than the arm where they drew blood from me yesterday. That was sore and bruised. Damn vampires.

I'm feeling good. The weather is finally starting to warm up a little. Spring is on the way. :)
