OK...the races then.
I don't see it as "owing their existance," merely that they are patrons of the races, such as Mellirelle was patron of the fiends and cho was patron of the dragons...

...two races that are gone as of this Age, along with the Fae...

...as far as we currently know...

Hence why I placed inverted commas around the term. I did not literally mean it that way - just that Nor Yekith's contribution is possibly large.
