Hah! That's awesome... a guy in my guild once referred to the Consortium as the Bug Zappers, and it kinda stuck. You probably haven't encountered them yet, but they're energy people... that buzz. :P

And my priest is Fey... thinking shadow spec.

< Has Mining and Blacksmithing, and is about to go farm some leather so he can make a new mace.

Edit: No luck on the leather (we need a player with Skinning, I think), but I've gotten some questing done and gone up a couple of levels. Got some decent loot, and some of the quest rewards have been better than my other equipment, so I have a new shirt and boots. Still wearing hand-made gloves and pants, but I think both of those will be replaced when I've completed a few more quests.
Starting to feel the restrictions of the trial account--can't send or receive mail (Luci, I have an unread message notifier, but it won't appear in inbox), and I have a bunch of items to sell at auction taking up all my bank slots.

I'm thinking of making him a smith (since my other has mining) and enchanter (to help party). Thoughts?

I was going to go herb/alch with my hunter (I always need potions, and last time mining/engineering wasn't incredibly useful... interesting, but nothing I couldn't live without), but skinning and leatherworking would be fairly compatible for me.

Sorus, if you get a chance, can you link me to the hunter mods you're using (as well as a good map/coord and sell-price mod)? Not sure how up-to-date the mods I was using are or even if I could still find them.

What do people think--should I just buy an account now, and save myself another seven days of being unable to trade?

I actually don't use any mods. I have add-on phobia. I believe some folks in my guild use something called Auctioneer, and I will ask around and see what the best mod for coords is these days.

If you're gonna be buying an account, I'd just do it now. Save yourself some frustration - and I could mail you some leather. ;)

Hmmm.... let's see. You can purchase prepaid game cards, though you would probably have to buy them on a US site.

Hmm. Worth a look. But i'd have to receive it by post, wouldn't I? Could take weeks.

Ah, wait--I'd still need to pay to activate my account, before I could buy time on it.

Murrin, you could send one of us a check or whatever and we could buy the cards and stuff for you then send you the numbers off of it by PM. If I had more cash flow, I'd even front you. Sadly...

Hmm. I suppose it's possible, but there's still the matter of account activation. I either have to pay $19.99 through the Account Management page or buy a retail copy of the game.

Edit--Creator: thanks. Still not sure about th above, though.
Hope I can get this set up; I've gotten myself quite attached to the game.

If you bought the retail copy, could you just enter the key from it?

And Blizzard's customer service is pretty friendly. You could try calling them and see if they can work it out so that you can use your card.

I'd have to buy a US retail copy. So that's either weeks of shipping, or hunting for somewhere I can get an import from. Which I've considered--it might be possible to find one, somewhere.

I might try contacting Blizzard, too. It's not that uncommon for american sites to not take my card--there seems to be very little support for debit cards over there.

Edit: Looking at your question again: Yes, all I need is the key.

I see some auctions for WoW with unused keys on ebay.
