Edit: Just took a look. That might be promising--delivery to UK in 3-8 days on one of them, for WoW + Burning Crusade...

That's not bad - you'd probably get it before the trial expired.

If the 10 day trial ends before I can upgrade, will I lose my char and have to create a new account?
My trial lasts until Saturday, and tomorrow's a bank holiday, so I'm not sure it'd arrive ni time.

Nope, at this time I don't think Blizz does much of anything to delete inactive accounts, you will definitely be safe.

Also, if you have a Paypal account, they take that as an option for monthly billing - probably easier than ordering the cards.

Oh, good. I went ahead and bought. To be honest I think I paid a little more than I needed to, but I don't mind much.
(And here I've gone from working out how to get on the US game from the EU client download, to actually buying the US game. Actually, now I think of it, I may have been unable to add Burning Crusade content to the client I'm using anyway without buying.)

Awesome! I did mail you some leather, dunno if you'll be able to access it. It wouldn't let me open a trade window with you, but it didn't say I couldn't send mail...

I'll get it once the account's activated. I have an "Unread Mail" icon, but it doesn't appear in the box.

Before logging off last night, bought a bag slot at the bank to give me a little more room. I now have 1g cash!

I hung mostly around the edge of Westfall yesterday, working on the quests there. I did see Sea online and made a run up to Darkshore, where Luci joined us. We helped her kill crabs.

I only had about 400 points to level up so I ran over to Westfall and killed a few coyotes this morning. :)

I just learned to resurrect.

Also bought a few other abilities rom Paladin trainer, and bought an 8-slot bag to replace one of my tiny pouches. Almost all my 1g is gone.

shut UP!! i'm at work today and you're home leveling up!!! :P :P :P

I WANT TO GO HOME AND WOW. :(

played a game of scrabble with creator last evening and then went back in to wow to try and do some maintenence work, you know, make potions, sell em, collect all the sellable stuff out of my bank acct and go sell it all, clean out my bags, feed the cat, etc...but i kept crashing.
Ger says he thinks its a graphics driver conflict cause of some graphics card he installed when we played the vampire game.
so he's workin on fixin that.
(not to mention the myriad live freakin updates from norton and java and crap like that!!)

oh yeah...and he's cleaning out the laptop and maximizing that so he can load wow into it and get an account of his own!!! so he can quest with us!!!
he's a level 23 draenei warrior and quite a tank!!

anyhow...no maintenence for me last night. :(

I've had to start selling the stuff I was saving for auction. Copper bars, grinding stones, bandages and linen are easy to replace, so they're gone; as is all the "grey" gear (to make room for all the "green" gear).
Have three of my bags upgraded to 8 slots, but all that means is I gained three slots--the old pouches have to be put somewhere until I can sell 'em...
When I get the account activated, if anyone with a new char wants 6-slot pouches I have five spare...

It's probably a good idea to take two 'gathering' professions on your first character, mining and leatherworking are good choices, and sell everything you get from them to make money. You'll have absolutely no difficulty in generating money for mounts etc that way and you can always drop one for a relevant crafting skill later on.
Q. Why do Communists drink herbal tea?
A. Because proper tea is theft.

I think I'll see how I do with Mining and Blacksmithing first (once I'm allowed to sell), and consider changing if it's not working out too well.

Got my raptor this morning. It was a long trip to Durotar, but it was worth it.

Murrin, I could use one of those bags.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

thats a great idea. i've already got alchemy on my first character tho and i don't think i want to ditch it at this point, but i did make a rogue alt character and i think i'll make both HER professions gathering.
i just soooo do not like skinning animules but...i reckon i'll do it.

Oh and by the way. When the priest gets bushwacked by a bear and is running around in circles in front of the lvl 25 hunter, that's a cue to shoot the bear. :P

oh and by the way...the pansy priest needs to STAND FREAKIN STILL so the hunter can freakin LOCK ON the stupid bear and kill it. :P :P :P :P

when you run...the bear follows. if you run in circles around me, i can't lock on the target.

if a bear chases you while i'm with you...RUN AWAY from me so i can lock on the target and shoot it. do not run circles around me or i have to spin to try to get a lock on the target.

BETTER YET...DON'T FREAKIN RUN. STAND AND FIGHT I WILL KILL THE BEAR BEFORE YOU GET TWO LICKS IN. :P :P :P :P :P
