What are you doing/did you do this weekend?
Moderator: Orlion
Umm. . . maybe another time, RB?
I followed today's babysitting by making dinner and watching Fellowship of the Rings and Reign of Fire. The first was excellent as ever, and the second was much better than I gave it credit for.
Tomorrow I've been invited to the mecca for old people and country music. . . yes, Branson.
Well, we're going to the WorldFest at Silver Dollar City. There are some nice Irish and Scottish music/dancing shows, and of course there will be amazing food from around the world. And my friends are giving me a free ticket, so all I have to do is buy my lunch.
Tomorrow evening is slated for catching up with my "sister" (her mother is my godmother, and we may as well be sisters). I haven't got to see her for practically a month, and I miss her wit and sarcasm. . . and intelligent conversation about literature!
So all in all, it looks like the weekend is shaping up nicely.

2008 Spring Arts Festival
This, and the Coconut Grove Arts Festival down in Miami, are the two "must go" festivals for me each year.
Not that I can afford to buy anything. But I love browsing and enjoying the festival vibe.

Ugh. I had a change of plans. Started out the day with a headache, so no WorldFest for me. It's okay though. . . someday I will visit both Scotland and Ireland and that will be soo much better. *nods*
I did have dinner with my sister, and she is a genius, and is one of the coolest people I know. And she knows me well enough that I can't bullshit her. . . she sees right through me. . . so we had a serious talk about a few things that have been happening in my life. And I feel better now--more focused.
Tomorrow is the Going Away Tea Party and Luncheon for my roomie. It is being hosted by the Drama Queen we know from college days. I've committed to going, but I want to give myself a lobotomy so I can have an excuse to skip it.
I may go, and beg off early (judging by past history, if I have a migraine today, I will most likely have one tomorrow too).

I'm happy. The annual ticket internet crush is over and I am the proud owner of a confirmation email which will get me a ticket to be allowed on a coach midway through which's journey i will be handed a ticket that allows me in to Glastonbury Festival.

A group of us went out for a birthday dinner last night to a Japanese steakhouse. I had an excellent filet and scallops dinner.
Today, I've been kicking back. I've got a pot roast in the slow cooker, and have been playing WoW for most of the day.

Any jackass can kick down a barn, but it takes a good carpenter to build one.

Spent all day yesterday working on pillow covers for three throw pillows in the living room. (The tops are pieced (like a quilt) so it's not like I can just cut a rectangle and sew up three sides.) I cut out all the pieces and got one of the covers pieced in January, but never finished the project. The first one's now done (and looks pretty cool!) and the other two tops are pieced. I'd be totally done if I hadn't kept sewing the pieces together in the wrong order yesterday...
Anyhow, I think I can finish the whole project tonight. Yay! It'll be nice to have this off my to-do list.

I hung out with my friend Karen on Saturday and then ran some errands and then Sunday I tried a new breakfast cafe around the corner and it was delicious and then I went to Virgin Records and got season 3 of Battlestar Galactica and watched four episodes.

Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

I'm walking along the riverfront near where I live into the city with a good friend. It's his birthday and we're walking into Brisbane city. I might take some pics of the city for watchers. Then I'll be studying maths.
Oh, and hopefully catching up with an American

I get to work tomorrow (thankfully close to home), hopefully get my hair cut so I can actually see the world properly once more and then attend a friends 10th wedding anniversary.
