Timkins is currently wearing one of the ugliest outfits I've ever seen. I'm not sure this picture really captures just how hideous it is.

Edit: Have been, against advice, attempting to solo the Deadmines, at least as far as the room where I can get the wood for my Paladin hammer. Was fairly easy at first, but then I got to the first boss, Rhahk'Zor. I don't think I can kill him, at this level.

he's cute but kysen is cuter!!

ps. i've just switched my heartstone to Lakeshire. i like that field
of cabbages up there by the herbalists' house. the inn sucks (human
and dwarf doors and ceilings are a bit low for me) but i like the
picnic tables up on the bridge. and i like killing those little whelps.
and the boars give up good meat for ray. so...i'm staying a while.

Scored my first blue item drop. I was in the entrance to Blackfathom Deeps--I'd already found the gem I need for the pally hammer, and was killing Naga and Satyr to collect brainstems for a different quest. Killed a Blackfathom Oracle, and she dropped Staff of the Friar, 20.4dps, +11 Spirit, +4 Stamina, +3 Intellect. That'll come in handy for Timkins once he's a high enough level to use it (requires 19).

Edit: Strange thing. Two parts of this paladin quest require me to speak to an NPC before going to find a component, and returning to them when I'm done. Both of these parts I've completed, and both quests became available from the NPC again as soon as I'd finished them. Odd.

Actually, it might be a better idea to sell the blue BOE. Twinks LOVE that stuff, and its really pretty easy to get a good BOP out of a dungeon. (Especially if you have high level friends who can rush you) That could probably net you more than 100 gold. Actually, since its required level 19, the level of a BG bracket, you might be able to get astronomical amounts of money for it. Ive seen 19 and 29 twink items go for as much as 600 gold.

Hmm. I might give that a try. (I did have a second thought after thinking of giving it to my alt, along the lines of "does it really matter if my ranged caster has a high-damage staff?")

Hrmmm, I'm guessing the quest just has additional parts with the same name (happens) Is it literally the exact same quest? Did you actually read them?

Yeah, they're the same ones. It's not a multiple part quest: the quest is "find these four items"; the two parts are "talk to this guy, he'll tell you where it is", and they ended with me getting the item, and the NPC first turning it into the one that can be used for the main quest then giving it back to take to the one who gave me the initial quest. They then display an ! and when spoken to offer the exact same quest again.

The guild tab is now open (thanks again to Sorus). Take what you need, leave what you can. I put a few items in there. I figure each double column can represent a day of the week, starting with Sunday on the left. If nobody's taken an item by that day the next week, take it out and sell it. I doubt that system can work for very long, but if anybody can think of a better one...
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Awesome! And no need to thank me; I am just thrilled that all of you are playing, and on 'my' server. I will use my resources to help the guild in any way I can, but it is you guys that make it rock.

We will run some dungeons over the weekend.

And that is a scary mage outfit, especially the gloves, but I don't think it's nearly as bad as the purple bathrobe my warlock had in her early days. No pictures, thankfully. 8O

i freakin love the dreaming's red braided beard!! :faint:

so what's this about a guild tab? how come theres an extra repair thingy in the repairs tab now? the guild pays for repairs? 8O
we only use that if we're in a guild group questing?

who else has tabards now? i'd truly like a group shot. web monkey has joined the ranks of Watcher wowers as well and will be building a gnome mage on the scryers soon as well. (my friend robert from work who has played scrabble with us)

I was feeling generous and put a few bits of armour in the bank, but it occurs to me now that most members of the guild can't actually wear mail, heh.

At level 26, I'm now able to kill the pairs of level 18/19 Elites in Shadowfang Keep. Died a couple of times before I got the hang of it. I could get as far as the Jailor, but at that point there was him and two wolves, and I couldn't seem to pull one without pulling the others. Just can't manage it, especially when one of them keeps using Soul Drain, which seems to immobilise me for ages...

You won't be able to pull just one. Still sounds like you got pretty far!

I'm at work, looking at my 'Deadlines' screen, and I keep reading it as Deadmines.

Yeah, it's been a long week and I wanna play WoW.

The blue weapon I found at Blackfathom Deeps sold for 15g46s, but the damned auctioneers took a 77s cut.

Ouch. Not too bad, though.

Count me in for the group pic!

Wow, you really coulda gotten way more for it. I don't think you realize the amount of gold people swing around at level 70. When these people level a new character, it's nothing to drop 50 gold or so to twink it up. (50 gold is roughly 20 mins or so of work at 70)

Hey, I set a good Buyout for it, but noone went for it. I think I only got five or six bids.

I'd set the minimum bid higher next time - if you set it to the same as the buyout or in the same general range, you'll get the buyout price. Or relist if it doesn't sell the first time around. It WILL sell eventually.
