Its been a strange day already....not bad, not good just strange. On a happy note I did finish my taxes this morning and e-filed them. I put off doing them because I thought I'd owe but it turns out that the last minute donation of my living and dining room furniture saved my rear and even got me a small refund.

It's Monday. Had a good weekend. Went boogie boarding on Saturday and then on Sunday I did laundry and grocery errands with Lucimay. Then later in the early evening Lucimay and I sat up on the roof and ate watermelon. Then I watched some Battlestar Galactica and went to bed. :P Today it's back to work. :?

I got a lovely sunburn at my kids' baseball game! I was only exposed to the sun for 30 to 45 min tops. The rest of the time I was under my beach umbrella. Curse Mother Cline (Edith Fitzpatrick) for her recessive, but dominate genes! Red hair and freckles might be cute, but it does not bode well with the sun.

Ah memories of another weekend gone by. :-(

Yeah. Tremendous headache. Not enough aspirin to get to the end of the day.

Now over a month working here without dANdeLION. Its quieter but quite boring indeed.

Well, I went in there this morning, tooled up for a fight with the notoriously uncooperative administrator, Tracey. I'd worked myself into my fighting mindset* and was, to employ a slightly retro phrase, spoiling for a rumble. But I didn't get one. Luck was on my side this time: When I walked into the admin office, my personal tutor (i.e. the guy whose job is to deal with my problems, in addition to his lecturing duties) was unexpectedly (and somewhat inexplicably) sitting right behind Tracey. With a different tutor, this might not have benefitted me, but mine is well known for being very helpful and extremely forgiving with his students. He would definitely come down on my side of the case.

The first few moments didn't go well, but when I handed over the relevant form, with my personal tutor's name at the top, I could almost see her force a change of demeanour. She simply couldn't rip into me with my personal tutor sitting right there. So, with a bit of eye rolling and strained politeness, she said it wasn't a problem and dealt with it.

I win. *self high five*

*I worked out a couple of years ago that fighting 'the system' ( ) is much less stressful if you decide to relish the combat - hence my 'fighting mindset'.

I learned an important lesson today, and being that it is me we are talking about, I had to learn it the hard way. My signature has unwittingly become reality for me. I guess that I am happy not to have paid a higher cost for it. :)

Other than that, it is time to get some sleep. I have a painter here in just over 4 hours. 8O

Happy Tuesday, Watchers.

I slept well last night. I've got to bring in the car early this morning so they can work on the brakes and alignment. Plus the IT guys are going to be in the office early to work on a couple of things. Ah, the excitement!

I've had three slices of toast with vegimite and cheese. Although yummy, it means I've broken my NO CHEESE ban and so I may now quickly return to my cheese-eating ways...which isn't a good thing.

And then today I was annoyed by the bane of my existence Martha! Long story but I wish she'd leave me alone.

And then I kinda think I stuffed up with something else...which isn't surprising because I regularly stuff up when it comes to all that....

...but at least my hair is now a lovely shade of...um...sorta browny-reddy something. ...I so can't get the color right. :? And the world is kinda going crazy if I'm talking about dying my hair... right?????

OH LOOK! My bottom ticker says it's less than 2 months till I get to the US! COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

My, I am bored. I'm almost as bored as that time I tutored in an office and no one came in...which is today. Hmm. I could almost quack repeatedly, I am so bored. Quack, quack, quack.

I had a 3 hour production meeting with my boss this morning, during which we discussed the things we've already discussed at the last meeting, some of his NEW ideas for the next few weeks ( my old ideas from a month ago), and how I need to be easier to listen to if we are going to communicate.

I love it drew.
Especially the coloration of the maple leaf.
Did you design and put it together yourself?
