The Great Album Covers Game!

Post by Nav »

I saw this on another webboard and decided to copy it.

The premise is simple; try to recreate your favourite album covers using a crappy graphics package!

Here's my attempt at Jeff Buckley's Grace using microsoft paint:

Or if I can't get that to work, try clicking in this URL instead:

Grace

Now you try!

I'll take a crack at it. I've got to pick a cool cover to draw though. It might take some time. Lets see.....:-)

I tried, but Paint saves them as bitmaps, and the KW Album won't allow bitmaps... :?

In my Paint you can save them as .bmp, .jpg, or .gif.... :? ;)

I just went and checked...it will only let me save as four different kinds of bitmap. Must be a very old version of Paint. No surprise there  :x

CJ. If you want to email me your bitmap I will be happy to convert it and send it back.

Great idea, Nav. Let me know if you want any WGDs or anything.

Here's my attempt... Image
And just for something to compare it to... Image
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

ok, what you want to do is when you save it add .jpg on the end of the name on the end.
for instance, if it is called "untitled" name it "untitled.jpg"
that should do the trick... :D

The only drawback is the file size. Bitmaps are uncompressed images. Sometimes even simple pictures created in paintbrush can end up being a couple of meg. The same files in .jpg format are reduced greatly which accounts for the format requirement. Just a caution. :-)

Hier, I think your pentagram would make a nice enough cover.
Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries
Blow away dandelion

I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.

Anyone can play Vain, as long as the pics look funny.

Why is it that I can't make the images appear in the post, are they too big or something?
