I didn't hate Temple of Doom I just thought it was the dark, weak bridge between Raiders and Crusade.

Yes I agree. CADDYSHACK II SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKED!

I liked Temple of Doom.

Go figure.

In our recent warm-up for Indy IV, my Jones newbie 7-yr-old liked Temple of Doom better than the Raiders. And you know what? We did have more fun during that movie. Sure, it's got a cute kid (which my boy thought was cool), and the girl is funnier and less of an alcoholic-with-a-chip-on-her-shoulder, but really, it's more exciting and tense in general. I expected Raiders to blow him away, since I have such fond memories of it myself, but this viewing left me thinking how dated Raiders is. I've never done that before. It has always held up.

Anyway, you people are forgetting the worst sequel ever. Star Trek 5: The Search for God. Row, row, row that piece of crap into an oceanic trench. 57-yr-old fat women aren't sexy. What in god's name were they thinking?

Yes. Uhura's fan dance was embarrassing. Should I mention the rocket boots again? Naw. I'll leave it alone. :-)

I've always been fond of Temple of Doom myself, but I thought it might be because I saw that three or four times as a child, years before I saw either of the others. Now it's kind of the other way round - I've seen Raiders and Crusade several times in the last couple of years, but I reckon it's close to ten years since I last saw Temple. I have no idea how it'll compare now.

Temple is a much better sequel than Crusade, which rode on Raiders' coat-tails too much. Raiders is a damn masterpiece, but Temple is a solid rival.

The kid and the chick are annoying in ToD, but I think it's a great movie....Far, far better than LC.

Anyone else seen King Kong Lives the sequel to the 1976 version of Kong? Watch that and tell me with a straight face it doesn't belong near or at the top of the list. I'll tell ya something else that is really frightening. I have it on VHS!

I'd be more impressed if you had it on Beta.

Never saw Son of the Mask, actually liked Batman 2 more than 1, Superman IV sucked, and Heavy Metal 2000 may just top this list for me. You always forget about the wretched ones.

I'm beginning to wonder if the sequal to this thread will suck worse than Starship Troopers II, or even Short Circuit 2.
