Fisty - LOL. OK, I apolgize... :)

You know, I remember when BSG came out in 78. I remember the pilot. It was, at the time, the most expensive made for tv movie of all time. I loved Lorne Greene as Adama. I remember most of the episodes, and being terribly upset when starbuck left, then the episode when they showed what happened to him. And the them song -- man! I loved it.

I just saw the episode where they actually played a clip of the theme from the original. awesome.

Actually, that was Galatica 1980, which was a different series, which is why it didn't have Starbuck, although the actor returned for one episode. He never left the original, but most of the cast was gone for the Galatica 1980 show. You might still be able to watch some of it. Uhh..yeah, in fact, I just checked Hulu. You can watch Galatica 1980 for free there.

That was the only decent episode of "Galactica 1980".

It was actually a really good one, and one of the episodes that was "reimagined" for the new series.

That was my memory of the show too. I had audio taped one of the other episodes, and it was pretty dumb. But I was a kid and listened to it a lot.

I think I'm going to some day watch these again and see just how bad they are. I think they have the original series on Hulu as well, but I bought the boxed set a few years ago, so I didn't look too hard for it.

Lol, Boxey as the final Cylon would be a little too goofy. (It would be pretty hilarious and shocking though :)) I had completely forgotten he was even in the show though :) (albeit for just the mini and like 1 episode in season 1)

I can't think of Daggit now without remembering the "Go God Go!" two part South Park episode, with K-10, Kit-9, and Cocka-3. (Even though I think It's a Dr. Who reference.) He was definately one of the Cheesiest things about the original show, I'm glad the two of them have been axed.

thanks. yes, Galactica 1980 sucked badly, but that episode was good. I think that Cara Thrace's experiences in the nebula were in part a nod to that. Also her experience with getting ditched on the planet along with the cylon and her stealing the raider was in part a nod to the show where starbuck did a similar thing.

Oh, an obvious tribute to it. That was about the time I realized that I loved the new series - giving nods to the original so that the fans are pleased, as well as taking it in such a gritty direction.

Heh, that's awesome; I thought I was the only one that did that, back in the days before VCRs were common.

Last night's episode was one of those filler, character developing stories that really didn't have any action, but still was pretty good.

1. How about Tyrol's outburst to Adama, and the look of "oh shit" on his face after Adama demoted him?

2. Roslin's appearance has been altered so dramatically this season that I'm beginning to wonder if McDonnell didn't go on some kind of crash diet during the off season. She really does look sick.

Yeah, I noticed the wig immediately. The pieces are definitely falling into place though. Civil war among the cylons, holy war among the colonials. How has Baltar managed to stay so damned interesting for 4 seasons now!

I really hope that man (James Callis) finds work after the show ends, he is seriously a luminous talent.

There was an awful lot of setup last night. I'm hoping next week we get some payoff.

Nope, I did it a lot. I probably still have some Battle of the Planets on audio tape. I did that with Monty Python and the Holy Grail back in Jr. High, and I spent a couple weeks at my friend's house after he moved out of town. We spent those weeks memorizing the damn thing while doing other things. It still strikes me as weird to see visuals along with the sound of that movie.

Anyone know how many episodes are left? Is this going to be a full season?
