I am making a one day trip to New York on Sunday to watch my son perform in his folkdance troupe!

Tomorrow is my roommate's moving day. I'm slated to help direct traffic and make sure that no one takes my things by mistake. 8O

After that is a goodbye party for the roommate, and after that I may hang out with my friends. And in between other things, I am packing up my belongings. Meh. :(

Decided to put cleaning off until tomorrow, going over to a friends place to play cards and misbehave just a little. So most likely, I'll not feel like cleaning tomorrow. 8)
Has anyone seen my keys?

Going to see Scorcese's Rolling Stones concert movie "Shine a Light" in Imax. Probably get a bite to eat at Legal Seafoods (Raw Oysters and Margaritas!) and then off to a friends to play Rock Band!
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Birthday party for the little Rootling, who turns 3 on Sunday. He's having a solar system theme (and cake) for the party. His choice. It'll be fun. Tiring, but fun.

We are going to have a double birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. We are NOT paying for the party which is kinda a rip off. We are buying tokens and letting the kids go crazy.

This weekend I will be performing in the pit orchestra for The Sound of Music three times. I will also be attending a judo competition (as a spectator), writing a lesson plan, doing research for a project about the Puerto Rican version of Spanish, and trying to maintain my sanity.

...ditto...

Only I'm five hours away at father-of-loves. Two formal meals in two days in a kitchen not your own...

I do it every year, I should be used to it by now.

I'll be flying kites and playing Rock Band. Then on Monday (my day off), I'll be doing homework.

The same thing I do every weekend.
Clean the house, spend time with my SO, and get into a good book.

What I should be doing is devoting more time to my writing.
I let my mind wander and it never came back.

We had a rip roaring good time at Chuck E. Cheese. Kids were surrounded by tokens, pizza, sodas and all sorts of things they don't normally have. SyrenSong did an awesome job drawing Sonic on her son's cake and I made a really spiffy Spiderman cake for Nicko. Nick screamed at the top of his lungs over every present. He managed to rise above the noise already present. A rare skill. My dad got him a kids digital camera by fisher price so he can drop it and it is all good. He got Spiderman stuff and Pirates of the Carribean stuff, a Scooby Doo fishing pole and tackle box set with sunglasses, a sucker bow and arrow set, thanks to my coworker he now has cowboy guns and a holster set, so does SS' son. Both boys made out like bandits and are quite happy. SS and I collapsed when we got home. I was there from 2:45 to 7:30!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! Karen was still decorating her son's cake when I left so she got there it was around 4.

Oh, did I meantion I have a throat infection on top of it all? Fun, fun, fun!

It's looking like rain for this coming weekend, so I'll be working on the vacation scrapbook. I've got all the supplies and I picked up the pictures tonight after work. I've been wrestling with myself all evening over whether to start the project now. The problem is that the supplies will take over the freakin' dining room table and I just got it cleaned off. Plus if I leave out all the stuff, the cats will have a field day. Better to set it up when I have all day to sit at it.

This is what I'm telling myself. But still...it's calling me...

The weekend has started early for me, as it's a public holiday today.
