This was our third time seeing him. I thought nothing could beat the show he did with Billy Joel at the Orange Bowl, but this one, while not as flashy effects wise, was awesome musically.

Oh this is incredible news, caam. B'Sha'ah Tovah!!
Great news caam! Lore: something incredible always happens if you stare at the sun too long!
I'm cold today, it's 48F right now and I'm in shorts with the front door open (for extention cords) and my garage door ripped off as well as the inside door. Soon they will move the waterheater, take out three eletrical outlets, blow out most of the wall between the far end of the kitchen and garage, take the remote garage door device off the cieling and start framing everything for the remodel. Busy day, cold day, but very busy...
I feel like telling everyone to be careful and be safe over the weekend. There was a really bad accident just outside the shop just now. There was a mid nineties sedan turning left and an SUV plowed and I mean plowed (Judging from the length of tire squealing to impact they were speeding) into the passenger front door and they hauled the passenger off in an ambulance very quickly. There were police immediately on the scene because there was a cruiser that just happened to be about to turn right when the accident happened pretty much right in front of them. But anyway, doesn't look good for the passenger so everyone gets a mental hug and safekeeping wish from me.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

I'm going to take this as a sign and leave at four instead of five. I hate riding against traffic at five oclock.

I just went and checked the road clearing process and they had seperated the cars and let me tell you, whoever was in that passenger seat has to be in bad shape. The door was pushed in about two feet. Go home early Balon and keep yourself on the alert. Everyone who wants to please send positive healing thoughts to whomever it was in that car because they need them badly.

Man. That's pretty intense, Jenn.
It's dangerous like that for me because I'm not coming HOME early, I'm going INTO work early. Which is why five oclock is nasty for me on my bike.

Head in early then if it means less traffic, Balon. Yes, that was pretty intense. Would have been more intense if the police had not been right on the scene because then I would have run out there to see if anyone was hurt etc.

I feel exhausted. The job interview went well today, but I have no official offer as of yet. And my former director will be out for the next week, so there is a chance that I won't know anything until the week after.
I still have to move out of here, and put my things in storage. And make a decision about taking that apartment I've been thinking about.
I'm trying to get into a big scientific conference, but I'm astounded at the prices... in dollars, I have to pay $45 to be enrolled in the Society which sponsors the conference (and that's student price - normal price is $145), because that's the only way I can submit an abstract (which in turn is the only way I can go there). BUT registration fee for the conference is $50 (again, student price - it would be about $100 for regular members) and I even have to pay $85 for the privilege of submitting one abstract!
Just spent the night at a friend's place watching a movie. Before that, I had to talk to another friend for an hour as he's current severly depressed and suicidal. I've given him some intervention and demanded he get some counselling. Anyway, I will catch up with him this weekend and make sure he is okay - maybe invite him around to my apartment for dinner with some other friends.

I feel lazy. Can't decide whether or not to make myself a sandwich here or walk up to the burger place on Sutter.... Too lazy to be able to make decisions is pretty dang lazy.
