Wizards come from Wales, and they create their own weather! :P

I am driving regardless-I don't want to be at the mercy of someone else's car-and besides I know the area, so if I want to go somewhere alone or help ferry people about I'll be very happy. Besides, I'd like to say hi to my mother in laws' sister in Colorado Springs-and stop in Santa Fe, of course.

How many are actually camping? Doesn't really matter to me where we stay. I make a mean campfire chili (another reason why you probably don't want me to share a tent! :P  ).

I know it as another name for Merlin/Myrddn.
It may have an even older meaning I am unaware of.

I anticipate I'll be jetlagged on Saturday. Friday I should be able to ride the adrenalin high for quite a while. Might have a snooze early arvo so I can do a bit of full on partying!!!

That's the BEST news I've had all week! YAY!

Yep, me and Damelon are staying at the Opal. Not sure where Romeo is staying. And, heh: you get into SF when I do so you can travel with me and Cyn (and Damelon I think?) back into the city if you want.

'Emrys' translates as 'Ambrosius' or 'Ambrose' - i.e. it denotes the divine and/or immortal. However, it is, in modern times, sometimes used in Wales as a genuine first name, e.g. Emrys Jones. (In the Pendragon Cycle, Emrys was Myrddin's title rather than his actual name - Myrddin Emrys = Merlin the Immortal, roughly).

For the record, 'wizard' is, I believe, 'dewin'. Former Prime Minister David Lloyd George is sometimes referred to in museums etc as 'Y Dewin Cymreig' (The Welsh Wizard).

That sucks. Stores in the big city are open on Sunday. I'll talk to BGB and Lucimay and see if some sort of schedule rearranging can be done.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

But I am going to San Fran late July, to meet and stalk Camaramen Jenn. :D

Still, have a brilliant time all. I've be there in spirit... Watching you all. :shifty: ;)

I'm eagerly tapping my foot in anticipation.

Still isn't coming fast enough.

Should I start looking for pretty spots for pictures and hiking and the like?

Or should we just hang about and go dancing or whatnot?

Uhm...

I picked Denver over SF, because I love nature. I am anxious to see the wild life in the area.
But...danlo will tell you...
I don't do so well on natural trails with elevation.
If there is a well marked trail without a steep incline I'm fine. Anything steep, and I'm in trouble. Unless there is a railing to grasp on to, or perhaps I could make do with a walking stick.

I don't have a fear of heights. I can be on a mountain top without a railing, as long as I'm able to be transported up there. My fear is of falling, and it literally cripples me without something to hold on to when I am moving on steep inclines.

...of course, I still haven't found a decent fare out there yet, so take my input in stride...

I'm afraid it might be hard to avoid Karaoke at my house, Danlo. But we could probably convince to play Rock Band so that you don't have to sing, but could drum or play toy guitar as well. Or sit and watch the stupidity and make biting comments.

Friday night is a good night for dancing if that is gonna happen, as there is a place I like to go called the Church. It was an old church, and now it is a multilevel, multiformat dance land. Even has a sushi bar there.

Just a thought. I'm not really sure where to go on Saturday nights for dancing.

But but but...we didn't get to *do* karaoke in ABQ last year, danlo! :(

;)

I am up for hiking/picture-taking and/or dancing and/or karaoke and/or Rock Band. (Helpful, ain't I?) But at least some of the karaoke/Rock Band tunes have to be stuff I know. Cag, how are you fixed for garage band music? No? How about (shudder) disco?
