Not if it's soulbound... you can't sell it back for anything near what you probably paid for it if you bought it at the AH. ;)

Few things you might try, though please note I have never been an alchemist.

Healing and mana potions. Some folks might not be willing to splurge on the fancy stuff, but the basics will almost always sell. Herbs. Yeah, it hurts. You need them too. Go on a gathering spree, sell the stuff that won't get you a skill point in alchemy.

Cloth. Mageweave sells for more than netherweave. You should be able to kill stuff that drops it in a couple of levels if you're not quite there yet, don't remember exactly when silk starts changing over. Speaking as someone who just put some major effort into tailoring last week, there is always a market for cloth. For that matter, silk sells well too.

Green items. Don't ever vendor them. Most of them will sell in the AH. If it costs more than you want to risk to list it in the AH, or if it's been through a couple of times without a sale, send it to Nixxe with a note that you want it disenchanted and I will send you back whatever I get from the DE. Enchanting mats sell very well and cost pretty much nothing to list.

Ugh... enchanting. I am at 266 and it costs what engineering cost to level at 366. I was going to dump it in favor of inscription (new profession in next expansion), but at this point I have put enough effort into it that I am going to keep it. I will post a list of enchantments I can do soon if anyone wants anything. I don't have many fancy things yet, though I did recently learn fiery.

Armor upgrades... Hunters aren't very gear dependant. Keep your bow upgraded, but don't worry too much about your armor. Especially since you're pushing 40 and if you're going to upgrade you might as well wait until you can wear mail.

And as for other random stuff, if it isn't grey there is probably a market for it.

Keep your cooking leveled up - your fishing can support that fairly well. Won't do you a lot of good right now, but once you hit Outland those fish are worth some decent money.

thanks for the tips Cap'n. i am beginning to get a little mageweave cloth from some drops. and i can now transmute iron to gold tho i don't know if that's worth much.

i will soon be able to wear mail so i'm good on the armor for a while and i'll TRY not to go shopping for new outfits.

i have a practice bow that's pretty good (tho i could use a scope ;) )
and a sweet bow that someone put in the guild vault for when i hit
lvl 48.

i could use some goldthorn and wild steelbloom for those mana and healing potions so if ya'll pick up any send em my way.
also if ya'll NEED any potions just drop me a line. i'll post a list of the
stuff i can make soon.
and where the heck are the goldthorn, wild steelbloom and purple lotus
to be found? i've run across a few goldthorn in STV and a few wild steelbloom here and there but not in much proliferation.

once again, thanks for the tips all! :D

Luci, if I can gather the iron for it (donations welcome ;)) I'll make you a set of mail for when you hit 40. It won't be great (for some reason, blacksmiths can hardly make anything in Mail past that level), but the Mail is a huge step up from leather and the set should last you until you pick up bits from quests and so on.

I can use Mageweave!! I am a Tailor and Enchanter (both 175+)

[Because I am an enchanter, I have to forgo money for magic drops - I disenchant all of those for my enchantment ingredients!]

Any other hints for a priest? I am closing in on Level 38!

Hmm... well, I've played on dialup, so no points for the first. :P

I guess we need to let your family have you once in awhile, but if you ever change your mind you will always be welcome to join us in Azeroth.

Creator... gonna need to give that some thought. Tailoring and enchanting are money-eating professions (see my rant about enchanting above)... you CAN sell enchants on the trade channel and such, but that is a major pain and not profitable at low levels - at best you'd be able to give stuff away at cost or offer to do stuff for free if they bring their own mats. But like I said, that is a pain (I hate the trade channel), and while you might be able to get a few skill points that way you won't be able to make much of a profit until later. That is because every other enchanter in the world is trying to do the same thing and they all have the same things to offer and they're all underselling one another... ugh... starting to hate enchanting again. :P Best way to make profit to to sell DE mats, but of course you need those too. I dunno. Storm paid for her first two mounts by selling ore and managed to keep her engineering leveled up. Enchanting is highly profitable at high levels, especially if and when you get rare recipes. It sure is a pain getting it there, though.

Heh, I know that wasn't much help. I will need to give the matter more thought.

I don't understand why Blacksmiths suddenly become unable to learn anything of use from trainers once they're past skill 250. The only new armour I can learn to make now is from armoursmithing, and there's very little of it (two pairs of pants for low level, then five or six high level pieces). I don't want to have to get all my plans from drops or the AH.

KotC went through some chaos this week, lost about 100 members in the last three days when a couple of people left and formed their own guild and others followed them.

Some of the leaders decided to prove that we still rock, and put together a party for Black Temple.

Oh, the repair bills. 8O

Still, it was fun. A real 'learning experience'. And some pretty awesome music inside.

Question: Does Anachronos, the dragon from outside the Caverns of Time, often go rampaging around outside Gadgetzan surrounded by loads of little guys? I kept hearing roars when I was in the town, and then I flew right over him...

I'd guess that somebody attacked him and then pulled him all the way to gadgetzan, at which point the goblin bruisers pitched in. It can be quite a funny prank if done well, like the time Lord Kazzak was pulled all the way to stormwind by one enterprising raid group.

It's not really internet speed that's the issue. You have to make sure you have a good graphics card. My roommate has a pretty crappy one, and she lags all the time.

Green Iron's a bit low level. Golden Scale is closer, but I don't have the full set; same with Mithril Scale. It'll likely be a mixed bag, of some decent some slightly low stuff...
If I can get Iron and Mithril for it, heh.

And another weigh-in on the cash issue: When I logged in today, I had 16g. After I checked my mailbox, I had 58g. That was from only 4 auctions.
