..Wait?,,,my god,, how can you even begin to consider yourself a human being,, how can you even start down the path of knowing who you are,,if you haven't even begun exploring sexual intimacy? Denying that part of being human is folly. Of course sex is not everything, but the sexual experiences bring your " everything" into balance,,bring your understanding of your self and your ability and willingness to " share" your "everything" with another human being. My god, there is a whole world waiting to be discovered at the end of your finger tips and mind. GET TO IT!..ANY excuse,,any Fear..is denial.
If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.

See, I disagree.
Yeah, sex is good, sex is great...but it's not IMPORTANT to to being HUMAN.

The only difference between someone who is a virgin, and someone who isn't a virgin, is that one of them hasn't had any sex.

I agree and I disagree.

I agree, Drew, that sex isn't that integral to being human. It's like never having drunk coffee; you're missing a common experience, but you can easily live without it.

On the other hand, I think being a virgin can leave you with a different frame of mind because you think you're missing something important. And...I suppose Lurch has a point that sex can teach you things about yourself that you may not have known, or wanted to know (heh).

In short, I'd say yes, sex is a good and worthwhile thing, but don't get excessively hung up on being a virgin. That label only has as much significance as you give it.

That's what I was trying to say earlier when I said:

You can either look at it as that you are in a different class than many young men your age, that being a virgin makes you a differnt kind of person..or you can just look at it as that you haven't gotten laid yet.
If you look at it as the latter, its no big deal at all.

I remember hearing the results of survey not too long ago; where older people were asked how many sexual partners they had had troughout their lives; and if they had any regrets regarding their sexuality.

Not surprisingly (or surpisingly to some) the people who did not have many sexual partner, wished that they had had more throughout their lives.
The people who had many, wished they had had less.

Interesting stance. I wasn't exactly desperate to get my end away, but I wasn't proud of it either. It was just a fact, like being tall.

You'd think chicks would dig poetry. They don't (I think this is one of the biggest mistakes guys like us make: we think most guys are uneducated slobs. And we may be right. But women aren't any different. To quote Ikkyu, "When you meet a master swordsman, show him your sword..."). Same for flowers. All this stuff comes later, and I wish somebody would've told me that when I was 18.

Of course, there's an exception to every rule, but I don't feel like going into the goth clause (and I'm sure every woman here would love poetry and/or flowers. We're all unique, beautiful snowflakes at KW).

If we're giving out advice, the first step is to get a car. Unless you live somewhere like NY or DC, pedestrians have zero to little chance. I was a virgin until I was 21. I never owned a car until I was 21. It could be a coincidence, but I doubt it. Also, having a car really facilitates that getting out and meeting people prerequisite among other things.

After that, it's just a matter of knowing what you want and getting it. The only thing is that you have to turn off that part of you that actually cares while doing it. A lot of guys do this by being an asshole, but I'm not recommending that. There are many shades of difference between doormat and dick. Just remember that your piece is as valuable as hers (even moreso, since it's your own).

The fact is, the worst a girl can do to you without a divorce lawyer pales in comparison to inflicting loneliness on yourself. Now, for some people that's a choice. But from what I've seen, those guys are usually refusing p***y left and right. Just saying.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Are you sure? I'm very lonely. Are you male or female. In fact, it doesn't matter. Where do you live. I'll rent a car.

Umm... Foul?, My advice (a day late and a dollar short, as usual) is to not try to pick up chicks in front of their mom. Unless, of course, you're really smooth......
