This image is black and white, it was scanned it into Photoshop then rendered with shading and some color. Even though Nom has been described as an albino I've always felt that the Sandgorgons would translate on screen along the lines of a large T-rex or Bull Elephant, condensed into a humanoid shape.
The mirror effect is really easy just create a duplicate image and flip it vertical and match up the legs and switch the eraser to a low percentage and wipe it to a ghostly image.

Thanks Wayfriend for the welcome. I'm at the limit of my storage site till I pony up the money and buy a years service. When I do I'll most likely be a regular with drawings like the Nom above. I created a Ur-Vile but I have to change its sizing so I don't blow out the screen if I post a URL here. You can see it before hand if you follow the link in my profile.

Thank you, I hope I'm getting the characters right. I also want to capture the weight and power of the subjects. I am looking forward to trying a full version of the Lurker under water, as well as Vain.

Checked out your Ur-Vile too. Good stuff. I like that you've kept it quite slender; I've seen quite broad and muscular Ur-Viles before, and I just don't imagine them that way.

I never saw the Ur-Viles as muscular as well. Lithe creatures with elongated limbs for running. That drawing come close to how I see them. I'm not happy with the overall anatomy of that Ur-Vile so I expect that I will make some changes. The face seems dead on to me. Maybe the ears a little larger and the nostrils more open and that should nail it down for me.

I keep getting an idea on how to tackle the Demondim and maybe a way to convey the Viles themselves. OY that will be tough.

I moved so I don't have my original series. I could use a Vain description of what he was wearing so I can start. ;)

It could be that the dimensions or size of the file is what was preventing you from uploading..the maximum is 1600 x 1200 and 512kb or close to that.

A few pointers and previous attempts:

"He wore a short gray tunic, and under it all his skin from head to toe was as black as the gaps between the stars. His form was perfectly shaped and strong; but his hair was black, his teeth and gums were black, his pupilless eyes were pure midnight. he held himself as if he were oblivious to the Dead and the Forestal and Covenent. His eye gazed emptily, regarding nothing"

Oh yes - and he grins a lot

As I suggested, you can always post your pics in the Kevin's Watch Album (the Laborium). You don't need space on your storage site to do it.

I have to agree with you on this. I don't want to give any spoilers so I will just say that near the end of WGW I literally jumped up to my feet as I was reading it. Of course that was many years ago when I was much more excitable, LOL.

If someone comes through with a picture of Vain that would be awesome. Obviously you get first dibs on the avatar...

I still cant see the full sized versions..and whats even stranger is that its hosted on an Apple site (I have 2) on my G4 at work and at home it shows a broken Icon on both computers...maybe i need a flash update or something. so far your work Kevin looks pretty much as it does in my own head. great job! you could create collectors cards out of those works...

I think I'm doing something wrong on downloading any art to the Laborium. I made the necessary changes for both the size and file requirements but it seems to be a no go. By the way Vain is complete and ready to scan in to CS3 for coloring. It's taking a while because a close relative just had eye surgery so I'm playing chauffeur for the next couple of days.
