Nice. How long does it take to reach that kind of cash? I'm not looking forward to raising it myself.

With some help from Sorus, got my blacksmithing to 330 yesterday. Learned the Earthforged Breastplate from Armorsmith trainer, and I would have been able to make it straight away if I hadn't just used the Adamantite I had to get from 325-330, heh. No matter, it requires level 65 anyway.

Edit: Almost forgot to mention , yesterday five of us went into Scholomance, and I completed my Epic Mount quest chain! We wiped once, when we were clearing the room I had to do my quest in and somehow managed to pull pretty much everything at once, but otherwise it didn't go too badly. I now have a Charger and a Swift Ram. Next up is helping Nixxe get her Dreadsteed in Dire Maul.

It took a long time, but I didn't start seriously until I had about 2000g from finishing all the solo quests I could and selling my primal mooncloth (I don't have the tailoring skill to make bags out of it yet). I only really started moving on it once they opened Quel'Danas in the last patch and the Shattered Sun dailies became available. I'd get 150g from them plus items that I could either disenchant or sell for a good amount.

When I restarted they had opened up some more and I could make nearly 300g a day, while earning rep to get some nice items. The Netherwing dailies are a lot harder though, I have to collect lots of things and the drop rates seem to be very low. I don't seem to have much competition though, which makes a nice change.

I just learned Seal of Vengeance, a new one at level 64. It costs a little more mana than Righteousness, and I'm spamming it every 8 seconds, but it has vastly increased my damage output (I'm critting for over 1000 on fully-stacked judgments!).

I'm in for Dire Maul as soon as we can get a group together... probably be a couple of weeks as that's a little too much dungeon for a worknight and we're going to be a bit busy next weekend. That said, I *want* my Dreadsteed.

SSO dailies - which I have been neglecting since I hit exalted - you can do the nine or ten quests on the island in about an hour and get about 100 gold for turning them in, not to mention that most of the mobs drop 5-20 silver each, plus cloth and other random items.

I don't remember the level on that fishing rod quest, but it's 60+... you'll be there soon, and in the meantime, have you ever tried the Sunday fishing contest in STV? (I haven't, always forget.)

It's one of the kids in Lower City of Shattrath. But I think you need to be 60ish to get the quest since you need to leave the city to complete it.

[edit] Beat me to it while I was posting - that's the one.

Yeah, it's above 60. Can't remember what level I picked it up, but the eels you have to kill for it are around level 63.

BUT...there's also a couple of nice ones on azeroth that can be fished out of lakes and rivers and gotten from some shellfish traps off the coast of desolace :D

There's a stack of Runecloth on the AH for 131612g. Who on earth would pay the deposit on something like that, that can never sell?

Edit: 15 stacks to go until Exalted...

That's pretty impressive. Had to have been an accident, but you still think they would have noticed.

I'm not sure. Minimum bid was 9999g, that was buyout. I don't think that could have been done accidentally.

(500 rep to Exalted)

Edit: I'm thinking of swapping Mining for a second crafting profession at some point after I hit 70. Maybe Jewelcrafting. Any thoughts?
Edit2: On the other hand, I've been thinking of changing Timkins' professions, and I could probably take him Engineering/Jewelcrafting and support him with Kysen's mining...

Deva doesn't read the boards? Does that mean we can talk about him behind his back?

:shifty:

Nah, I think I've seen him here.

Cheval is the one I'm wondering about... did I scare him away?

Three words: Chinese Gold Sellers

Blizzard are getting better at catching transfers in the mail and in private trades, they probably tell the customer to put up an auction like that and then the gold seller buys the item. I would've thought the one hour delay on auction payments would allow Blizzard to catch that kind of thing quite easily though.

The quest for the cool fishing rod is from a boy in lower city, you just have to kill the eels and collect the scales they drop. It's quite a challenging quest though, not because the eels are tough in any way, but because they drop motes of water and so are heavily farmed by level 70 players (myself included, although I actually use my 65 mage).

I've done a few days of Netherwing dailies now, they're hard but I've gotten a trinket that allows me to summon a little nether dragon to help me. I also caved and bought a Swift Red Gryphon as soon as I had 200g. I'm weak.

That was my first thought, but it's still an absurd amount of gold. :? And I thought things like that were the reason they put in the mail delay. Oh well... hope they paid a fortune for it and got banned.

Congrats on your Gryphon - you won't regret it!
