Location of the Ritual of Desecration-- why the confusion??

Foul tells Covenant that the Ritual of Desecration took place in Kiril Threndor.

Atiaran tells Covenant that it took place on Kevin's Watch (and says it's not a good sign that he appeared there or that their journey begins under its shadow).

So which is it? Foul is no friend to truth, but has nothing to gain by telling a lie about where it happened. Atiaran is surely passing on what she learned. I don't get it.

Not sure why Atrian would get it wrong. the ritual must have taken place in Kiril Threndor because thats where Drool Rockworm finds the Staff of Law (presumably after Kevin drops it when he's ripped to bits by what he's unleashed)

I think kevin went to face foul in Kiril Threndor, but was defeated, ran away, did some depairing, then confronted him again on his watch where the desecration occured. (or I might be totally wrong, feel free to correct me, lol.)
