I'm playing around with some mods that let you change the appearance of the game, with the eventual intention of trying to completely change the layout I'm using. I've tried one called Bartender, for editing the layout of the actionsbars and similar stuff, but I found it far less customisable than I expected, so I took it off again. The next one I've been playing with is Pitbull, which is for the windows you see showing information on players, party, targets, etc. With some minimal tweaking, this is what it looks like right now:
Image
(Targetting myself for the example. The pink is the colour used fror Paladins. Top left--Player; Right--target; Bottom--target's target.)

Wouldn't want to try joining a party right now, because there's a whole mess of displays for that (members, pets, targets) which I haven't tried to configure yet...

I'm going to try a minimap mod next.

you have to right click on the icon for the wings, up on the right side, next to your map.

I have no idea where the target is....so I'm screwed...seems to me, it'll just put me down in the middle of a bunch of Murlocs, so I don't think I'm gonna do that too many more times...

Hey, vasko. Grats on 60. I see you're Prot specced--you get that gear tanking? (I'm a Prot Paladin, but I've yet to actually tank an instance, even though I'm nearing 70 already. Need to get a start on that...)

Most of us here are playing on US servers--for the most part on The Scryers, where we have our guild. I know we do have a few people on KW who play on the EU servers, though, so there's a chance one of them migt be on your server.

Edit: The work in progress.

I like your action bar mods Murrin, I've been thinking of going to town with my UI again. I used to use a really customisable bar mod but I got sick of it breaking every time there was a patch. The best thing about it was that my 'Eviscerate' button was in the exact same place as the 'need' button when the group loot box popped up. We had problems in the guild with stopping people looting during combat, but once people knew there was a good chance of me 'needing' any combat looted items it became a great deal less common!

I've just used a very simple mod for placing bars (Bartender, apparently it's a popular one) and haven't skinned it (tried using eePanels, but apparently you need to make up textures in photoshop to use). I'm in the middle of sorting it out on Timkins, too. The layout works well for me, with those groupings. If I had a larger monitor and could go above 1024x768, I'd move the map to the lower corner and maybe split the chat window up, but I don't have the room. (I also don't have room for the raid grouping frames, so I'm going to have to do without my group's icons in battlegrounds, which isn't a big deal).

Decided to take a look at Blackrock Depths today to see if there were any quests could be completed in the outer part of it (as there often is). Within a few minutes, ran into a Night Elf Rogue who was running it to smelt Dark Iron; we teamed up, and she took me on a quick run through part of the dungeon (I say quick, a few hours may have passed... we did wipe a few times). Got a Jewelcrafting and and Engineering recipe drop that I've sent to Timkins (yeah, I went ahead with the profession switch), and a new ring that was slightly better than what I had. (A trinket, too, but can't tell if it's better or not.)

....Oh god, I just realised. It was the same Nigt Elf I teamed up with last week on Hellfire Penn. I had no idea, heh. That explains some things.

I will check my bank... went on a cooking spree awhile back for my wolf, which is my first pet that doesn't eat fish. Got her to level 70 this morning, by the way. Holds aggro better than a cat, but doesn't do quite as much damage. Excellent for farming since my cats sometimes have trouble holding aggro. (Blizzard needs to add some power to Growl with the amount of damage hunters do these days...) Not so good for PvP, but I have my dedicated PvP cat anyway. That's how I justify having two cats; one is PvE, one is PvP. (Though they can both handle both jobs, the main difference is that the PvP one has Prowl).

Hello fellow gamers, I'm back.
Sorus - you can't scare me away that easily! :P
To answer Lucimay, Damelon, Magickmaker17, and Sorus' question: I play on my daughter's boyfriend's server (since it is his game).
I believe that the server is Korial Straizz. (sp?)

Darkmoon Faire I found was kind of boring except for the remote tanks.
Maybe I should get some of the items that the Carnies need, huh?
And getting drunk there was a fun experience.
(I also did the cannon shots but kept over-shooting the lake.)
Have you hugged your arghule today?
