Saul motherf%cking Tigh!

Great ep, though I'm surprised they made it to Earth, and I'm really surprised they found it in the condition they did (though sort of glad, as this avoids the cheesy 'Galactica 1980' stuff).

Well, we kinda knew Earth wasn't going to be a paradise - that would be too easy, right?

HOLY CRAP!!!! I just watched it!!!! I thought Tigh was gonna die.

So I wonder if other cylons did that, or if we blew ourselves up.

Can someone explain when the final 3-5 were on earth???

We don't know that yet.

Does anyone remember the beginning of the episode?

Something to the effect of, "Children don't fully realize their potential until the parents have died".

I'll say it again, Saul motherf#cking Tigh!

The SOB walked up to the Old Man and fracking told him he was a Cylon.

Olmos absolutely blew me away last night.

That's some crazy kind of Cliffhanger. I absolutely love it. It was like the end of The Graduate. The expressions on everyone's faces were absolutely priceless too. The more jubilant things got as the clock wound down, the more anxious I got for something terrible to happen instantly. Instead we got just a... well wtf do we do now?

It's going to drive me slowly insane. I don't see how anyone can deny that this is the greatest show on Television. I really REALLY hope all of these actors have real careers after this show. (ESPECIALLY James Callis.[Baltar])

Michael Hogan deserves an Emmy for his performance throughout the series.

Saul has become my second-favorite TV character of all time (behind Lance Henriksen's Frank Black and just ahead of Selleck's Thomas Magnum).

Ah, Frank Black!! :D :D :D

Anyway, I'll bet they will find survivors scattered all around, and form a new civilization with them.

Problem is... Well, the cylons' goal at the beginning was to wipe out humanity. How many cylons still have that goal? I've never understood the wisdom of the joint mission to Earth. Kara's speech to Lee was an attempt to make it make sense. The Hybrid said the final five have been to Earth. Two of them convinced Kara to check out that viper, and she discovered the signal. But that doesn't definitely mean whatever's orchestrating things desires them to get there together. Maybe the final five are just the tool for the humans. And even if that power does want them there together, I don't know why I would go for it. If they couldn't get rid of the cylons somehow, I'd say forget it. Blow up that viper so nobody can find it. No matter what happens to the fleet, at least Earth would be safe from the cylons.

Well, I honestly think the reconciliation with the rebel Cylons is going to last. There are still PLENTY of loose ends left. Where are the Cabals, Dorals, Simons, and Boomer? I don't think we have seen the last of the hard liner Cylons. What is the supreme significance of Hera and the other Half-Breed? What the hell is going to happen with/to Caprica 6? (They have been meticulously avoiding her significance.) What the hell is the meaning behind Head 6 and Head Baltar?

What about the last Cylon?

So many questions are left... The ending to the episode was perfect. We didn't need another shit-a-brick cliff-hanger. We needed exactly what we got.

I agree, it was a good place to take a break.

Now when does it start back up?

About 6 months....I don't know if I can wait that long. :(

What an awesome series, I've been with it since the mini-series, loved every minute of it, "the dreaming" is 100% right when he claims that this is the greatest show ever...bar none!

I can't even begin to explain just how fracking good Tigh/Hogan and Adama/Olmos were this week....these men are giants of the screen.

I almost burst out in tears when Caprica 6 lightly touched Tighs arm, the look of desolation on all their faces, Cylon and human alike....absolutely heart breaking!

Six months?!

Okay, brilliant episode... but I had some problems with it. The Five having been to Earth... "Yeah, went there on vacation last year; what a dump. No wonder everyone left." IF they have been before, they obviously don't remember. Kara's reaction to finding out about Anders... I would have expected her to be the one screaming and throwing things... but, that's okay. She's grown up a lot. And the scene with her running through the whole ship to burst in and yell "Stop!" at exactly the right moment. Painful cliche. I guess picking up a phone lacked sufficient drama.

And what next? The revelation of the fifth? Didn't need them to get to Earth. And it isn't someone in the fleet... which supports my theory. Admittedly my theory has some fairly major issues, but I haven't come up with anything better.

Only ten or so episodes left... I can't see where they will go from here, but I doubt it will be disappointing.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing

Still, I expected her to break his nose. I suppose she might have if they hadn't shown up with guns. And maybe it's ok that she sat there figuring it out, instead of screaming for a few hours, trying to get at him to break his nose. Her mission saw some changes in her.

So lets put our brains together and recap what we know so far.

Earth is in ruins.
Was that gieger counter telling us it was radioactive as well?
That sucks.

All Cylons can now die for good.
Tigh was younger when he met Adama, even had hair.
That means they aren't immortal and they they will die of old age.

Some Cylons and Humans have formed an alliance.
Humans and Cylons can interbreed.

Does the combined population of humans and cylons equal what is required for a race to continue?
What did the doctor's report on 6 reveal?
Is she pregnant with Tigh's child? That would be pretty significant I think!

Great series!
I dread the ending though because I fear that there's no way the writers can live up to the fantastic ending that I expect now.

The people we think of as humans will all die. 6 is carrying Tigh's baby, so the skin job's life cycle is now complete; they can both create life organically and die. At some point the Toasters are going to rebel, and the whole cycle will begin again as Earth is destroyed and the "humans" will flee looking for the lost 12 colonies.

Great episode!

I agree with everything that's been said about Tigh, and how good Hogan is. Abosultely awesome. Totally within his character to do what he did, but still, never saw it coming.

Actually, I don't think the hybrid said the final five had been to earth. I think she said something like "the final five will show the way to earth", then Kara and the others interpreted that to mean that the 5 had been to earth.

I liked the way they (the writers) skimmed over some things near the end of the episode. Resolve the hostage situation, find earth's coordinates, then go! No stretching it out over a couple of epsidoes.

And yeah, what now? :D

You know it! :D

"At last, they’ve come for me. I feel their lives, their destinies spilling out before me. The denial of the one true path, played out on a world not their own, will end soon enough. Soon there will be four, glorious in awakening, struggling with the knowledge of their true selves, the pain of revelation bringing new clarity, and in the midst of confusion, he will find her. Enemies brought together by impossible longing, enemies now joined as one. The way forward at once unthinkable, yet inevitable. And the fifth, still in shadow, will claw toward the light, hungering for redemption that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering. I can see them all. The seven, now six, self-described machines who believe themselves without sin, but in time, it is sin that will consume them. They will know enmity, bitterness, the wrenching agony of the one splintering into the many, and then they will join the promised land, gathered on the wings of an angel. Not an end, but a beginning."

Oracles don't have to tell the truth, they have to tell you what you need to hear. That's the archetype anyway, and I'm sure RDM is trying very hard to place elements of our epic tales into the story. Archetypes are fun to work with, because they already have all kinds of associations in our psyche's. He took the idea behind Star Wars and went the realism route instead of the fantasy route.

I would've liked to have seen a confrontation between Adama and Tyrol.

As to the identity of the final Cylon, I think we have to add Elosha to the list of prime contenders, especially after Roslin's recent visions of her.
